Sometimes when people feel the urge to post their grandiose thoughts and opinions in the form of a FanPost they're a little too over-zealous, naive, or ignorant and need to sit back for a minute and think before they speak.

We all get caught up in the offseason hyperbole that is Free Agency, and the Draft. Each of us having our own thoughts and opinions about who to trade, what to trade for, who to pick, where to pick, who'll be there to pick, who won't, who's bad, who's good, who's who and who's that, and on and on until these ideas and opinions become a convoluted, twisting nightmare.

We lose sight of reality and get swept up in the wave of "what if" scenarios, thinking we have something truly significant figured out. And thats when the jump from reality and common sense happens. After day-dreaming up a solution to end all solutions, despite the realistic chances of this idea ever happening, we do the unthinkable. We write a FanPost.

OH yes, YOU did. And it is worthy of its own Real Man of Genius original soundtrack. By trading Glenn Dorsey, Tyson Jackson, Arthur Bryant's, two 12 packs of Guiness and a bucket of Colonel Sanders' finest, we're just one trade shy of picking up Chad Ochocinco, the single greatest reality receiver to ever receive and reality. At the same time! And if we trade Dwayne Bowe and pay for a new stadium, Rex Ryan has agreed to give us a 5th round pick in the 2014 draft and a signed plaster-cast footprint.
Thats not a deal. Thats a steal!
I've been guilty of doing this. And I'd like to apologize. If you, like me, has a natural tendency to over-analyze every possible scenario in which the Chiefs could solve all their problems in one fell swoop, remember this

I respect a lot of your opinions, some I don't, regardless though, AP is the best sports site out there and I enjoy being a part of this community. If you're struck with an inspired idea and feel the need to share, I'd encourage some genuine thought and a healthy dose of common sense before publishing the finished product. I'd love to claim ignorance in mine, but we all know where that can get you

I am looking forward to the draft, Free Agency, and a new CBA. I'm also looking forward to posting more comments, writing more FanPosts, and actively utilizing common sense throughout. Which is something I should probably incorporate more on a daily basis in life anyway
