Well it's the end of the regular season, and the Chiefs have far surpassed many if not all fans expectations heading into the season. I was under the impression that this team had 8-8 potential and could go 10-6 if everything fell right for them, but that still wouldn't be enough to win the division, with the Chargers being the Chargers. But as we all know now, the Chargers slow start finally caught up to them, the Chiefs were fortunate enough to win some close games, sweep the NFC West and have just enough luck to call themselves champions of the AFC West. Don't take any of this article out of context please, I am very proud of the development of this young team, and what the future holds, and this season has been a rollercoaster ride of emotions up and down. BUT....do we really have any clue or idea of just WHAT team is going to show up at high noon to play what in my opinion is the BEST team in the AFC other than the Patriots. This team had the opportunity to lock up the #3 seed and play against an underachieving Jets team and avoid the Patriots potentially all the way to the title game, assuming we made it that far. And with all that on the line, everything in front of them, at HOME, against a division rival, the Raiders no less....we put up the biggest stinker of the season, (other than possibly Den, and SD) but the magnitude of this game far surpasses the others. My question is, my thought to this point was that this young and inexperienced team, played inconsistently on the road, and that could be expected for a young team, but once they donned the red tops and had the Arrowhead crowd behind them, they were one of the best 4 teams in the AFC. And that still may be the case, I just now go into the playoffs, not confident, confused, and wondering just what to expect on Sunday. I would like to know your thoughts on this because I read fanposts on here daily, and generally speaking there is some very intelligent fans on here, what are you expecting to happen this Sunday? I'm nervous, I'm excited, but for the 1st time this season , I can honestly say....I don't expect us to win. I sure hope I'm wrong and I will be cheering harder or as hard as everyone else, I love the Chiefs, and I am like I said very happy with the overall season. Just wanted to vent a little bit and get some good feedback. Thanks.
