Former Chief Gets Late Shot At A Super Bowl
If I was a player, I wouldn't mind signing with a team on conference championship weekend -- just two wins from a Super Bowl ring.
That's the case with QB Matt Gutierrez -- a former Chief -- who just signed with the Chicago Bears (reserve/future contract).
Gutierrez was last signed by the Bears during training camp and then released on Aug. 30. The Chiefs claimed Gutierrez off waivers in 2009 from the New England Patriots and last released him a couple weeks before training camp this year.
Well, that's not a bad gig for Gutierrez. He doesn't play with anyone throughout the season and has a shot at a Super Bowl.
But I will say life is not fair if Matt Gutierrez has a better shot at Super Bowl ring than Tony Gonzalez ever has.

Big fan of Matt Gutierrez
well, not super big, but big enough. I have to say, he definitely has the ability to keep the chains moving if he had to come in. This might make me a Bears fan these next three weeks.
What other former Chiefs
are left on these teams besides this guy and T. Richardson?

Please spare us. No one ever said life was meant to be fair. If life were fair, we wouldn’t have Major League Baseball.
hey now, we have the Kansas City R ... oh wait, never mind
life is not fair

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Todd Collins is on the Bears as well and has actually played....
Tony Richardson is to me a big or bigger a part of past Chiefs success as Tony G. To me those hall of fame linemen, Priest Holmes (or to a lesser extent 2.7), and Richardson were the most important components of our later playoff teams.
I know a kid that has more SB rings
than Dan Marino, talk about not fair. He played for the saints last year and was on the pats 18-1 roster too I believe. Kyle Eckel, last I checked he played for the donks. A kid who I personally played ball with and against and never thought he was that good

He was just a big strong kid
Came from a better upbringing than me so he had more opportunities than me. I had scholarship offers from Pitt and Penn State for football but I was 17 and knew it all
