Free agency game
Here's how it works. We have lots of free agents (25) but we won't be able to bring back all of them. Here you'll have the opportunity to choose who to bring back. Every player listed below has a point value. You have 30 points to use on free agents from our team (Unrestricted and Restricted). You can't go over 30 but you can go under. Who do you use the points on? I based each player's points on what that player could bring in next year. Keep in mind that some players are worth more or less than you may think they're worth (as will be the case for GMs every year). This may factor into who you select. Have fun with it!
Thanks to KC Star for the list of players (link found on today's AP frontpage).
LB Charlie Anderson-1
WR Kevin Curtis-1
CB Travis Daniels-1
LB Mark Simoneau-1
LB Cory Greenwood-2
RB Jackie Battle-2
QB Brodie Croyle-2
FB Tim Castille-2
WR Terrance Copper-2
FB Mike Cox-2
C Casey Wigman-2
TE Brad Cottam-2
CB Maurice Leggett-3
S Jon McGraw-3
LB Corey Mays-3
OL Rudy Niswanger-3
TE Leonard Pope-3
OL Barry Richardson-4
DT Ron Edwards-4
OL Ryan O'Callaghan-4
DE Wallace Gilberry-4
DL Shaun Smith-5
LB Mike Vrabel-6
CB Brandon Carr-7
LB Tamba Hali-9
My picks:
Hali-big leader on the field, good guy, fits the mold of our team (21 points left)
Carr-had a very quiet but very good year, especially considering we only had 1/2 a pass rush (14 points left)
Wallace Gilberry-nice stats and he plays hard (10 points left)
Pope-good big body (7 points left)
Cox-both our FBs are free agents this year, they are fairly comparable (to me), so I go with the cheaper one (5 points left)
Greenwood, Copper-two good special teams players that play the right way-110% every play (1 point left)

lol
you’re over-thinking it! Had to make some off to add to the discussion. Short example—I made Mays at 3 points because we have so many linebackers at about his level and everyone seems to think we need some via free agency or the draft. So would he be worth keeping on the roster if we got him at a good deal?

Mays? he's the first LB that I'd cut ... as soon as Sheff was back, Mays would be gone ... Corey Greenwood, rather see him on the active than Mays
