Surprise on MNF at Arrowhead??

Surely somebody else heard this on Thursday night over the loudspeakers at Arrowhead...

Star-divide

Late in the game against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night it came across the loudspeakers that there would be a "surprise for Chiefs fans on Monday Night Football."  In order to see this surprise, Chiefs fans were asked to be in their seats 15 minutes before the game begins.

I have searched high and low through the internet to find out what the surprise is going to be. I even called my local ticket guy from arrowhead to ask about this. Nobody seems to know what the surprise is.

DID SOMEONE ELSE HEAR THIS??? Or am I having an "ease his pain" moment???

Anyone, anyone...??

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

it was thirty minutes before game time

and I heard it too

The only measure of true success in the NFL is the Vince Lombardi trophy. Anything less is a rationalization.

Clark was talking about it during the game on TV

he said he knows we have some of the best tailgaters in the NFL but to please be in your seats 30-45 minutes before the game b/c they will have some awesome pregame stuff

I'm not Tony but....

Josh Looney stated it several times on his weekly show on Chiefs site. He and the other guy on his show talked about it extensively saying fans really really need to be in their seats by 8:35. They couldn’t say enough about it. Lot’s of grand opening stuff, fly overs, they went on to say it will get you jacked. I don’t think we want to miss this.

Awesome

Except that means I’ll need to head into the stadium as soon as the gates open.

Getting to the upper section on crutches is gonna be fun. Gonna have to limit my beer intake so I don’t have to take 30 minute bathroom trips!

I remember that you could, problably still can,

call Arrowhead for wheelchair services. They might even have an ambassador to wheel you up and down to your section. I would call and see if it is still available.

appreciate the input

but it’s not that big a deal.

I may look into it when I get there but I think I’ll just take the elevator up to the third level.

I’m in row 20 of my section and the entrance is around row 10-12. Shouldn’t be to hard to hop up a few sets of stairs using the handrail

what time does the first MNF game end?

I would like to see this stuff but if the other game runs late is it going to interfer with us tv watchers?

good question.

my first impression would be yes, but then again with a national audience waiting to watch, i’d hope not.

I don't think they are going to show any of the pregame events on TV

However, they said in the comments on “Chiefs’s LIVE!” today that they would have a video of it up later that night or the next day.

Fireworks and balloons...

The flyovers are awesome!

I am so disappointed when I go to a game and they don’t have one. You can see so many fans in Arrowhead looking up at the end of the National Anthem waiting for the flyover too.

I am so bummed out that I won’t be at the game to see the nighttime flyover and everything else that they have planned for the game on Monday.

Is there a problem with tailgaters returning to their seats in time?

Maybe it’s just a gimmick so Arrowhead doesn’t look like this for opening kickoff on MNF

I actually closed my eyes then clicked on the link

but I doubt its some gimmick, they may actually have some good stuff.

do that and you have perfected your tailgate time management.

Truth

Take it away Bill Simmons:

Still, it can’t top the famous clip of the Edmonton Oilers fans singing “O Canada” before a 2006 playoff game, one game after Ducks fans booed the Canadian national anthem in Anaheim. Name me another sports clip that can give you chills for over a minute straight. You can’t.
