If you haven't heard already the New York Jets have released 4-time Pro-Bowler and former Chief fullback Tony Richardson. This is a surprising move considering that Tony Richardson is one of the best in the business at doing his job and he is a great locker room presence. Tony Richardson was a fan favorite in Kansas City from 1995 to 2005 and paved way for outstanding backs including Marcus Allen and Priest Holmes in Kansas City, Adrian Peterson in Minnesota, and Thomas Jones in New York. The Chiefs must sign him the Chiefs have subpar fullbacks in Mike Cox and Tim Castille, but thats not the reason the Chiefs should sign him. The Chiefs should sign him because of the 1402 yards and 14 touchdowns he helped new Chief Thomas Jones earn last year. Plus Tony Richardson is a Todd Haley/Scott Pioli type of guy he fits the mold he is talented and a good presence for a young team. On top of that like I said he was a fan favorite in Kansas City and Chiefs fans would go wild if he returned to Kansas City. I am not saying this is likely, but adding Tony Richardson is defiantly something the Chiefs should look at.
