It's the economy, stupid!
so apparantly "The Herminator" thinks it's bad publicity for the NFL to have the story told of Dez Bryant dropping $55k for his teammates because ... well, the rest of us are unemployed and it looks bad
I will say, though, I wish I had the money Dez Bryant makes ... I'd buy dinner for everyone on AP

Bad investments
HDTV’s, cars, houses, $55,000 dinners…. It’s a hard life to stop living.
If you can sack groceries, you can sack a QB... right?
The kool-aid is now Berry flavored.
These kids are absolutely stupid
Former first-round pick Tony Brackens drove a modest pickup truck, lived in a modest house, and flew under the radar off the field. It turns out he invested almost everything he had earned, so when his career was cut short by too many injuries, he was set for life.
On the other hand, you see a lot of these guys like Warren Sapp, Larry Johnson, Dez Bryant, JaMarcus Russell, and yes, even a number of Chiefs who would rather buy Cristal than a clue or taste.
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.
