Around SBN: Ellenberger vs. Sanchez Heats Up, Hughes Talks Retirement

Remember, tomorrow NFL teams are required to trim their roster from 75 players to 53 players. 8 of those 22 players that are cut will likely end up on the practice squad.

There may be some cuts before that, which we'll of course cover. Just wanted to remind everyone about the big day tomorrow!

I think the best possible sign for our team could be

if other teams sign guys that we cut or put on our practice squad. Last year, if you couldn’t make the Chiefs then you either called up the Arena League or retired. Not that I want to lose anybody off our practice squad but boy would it be a positive sign.

true... but

most of the cuts this year will be UDFA, camp bodies, I think…

as per your post: http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2010/8/31/1662044/alright-lets-see-your-53

I count 15 UDFAs not including the 4 already cut (some were rookie FAs last year) that should be pretty “easy” cuts, so I wouldn’t expect most of them to go anywhere else, except maybe a PS (KCs or elsewhere)

Rich Gunnell
Tyler Palko
 Dan Santucci
 Cody Slate (cut 8/29)
Bobby Greenwood
Jeffrey Fitzgerald (already cut)
 Dion Gales
John Russell
David Herron
Jackie Bates
Ricky Price
Tyler Eastman (cut 8/29)
Garrett Brown
Verran Tucker
 Lemuel Jeanpierre
Leroy Banks
Justin Cole
Kestahn Moore (cut 8/29)

It’s the other 5 or more experienced players that will have a good chance to play somewhere

guys like:
DaJaun Morgan
Jarred Page
Maurice Leggett
Reshard Langford
Ikechuku Ndukwe
Mike Richardson

this should be the most exciting Chiefs team in years! Most major needs filled with playmakers, and the league's best coaching staff... 10-6 a possibility?

Come on, Pioli.

Work your magic, and pick us up some impact players that others have cut!

there are so many tough cuts, I wonder who we would consider

I still think Patrick Crayton if hes cut makes sense…a lot of sense, with our 4/5/6 possibly all being ST type players, we could use him and let urban go

Maybe an OL for depth

maybe a DL…but I just am not too sure how many we would sign considering it will be hard to cut to 53 as is

well, the Crayton ship sailed to SD already

but, I agree that OT depth would be smart, maybe a LB or CB for depth…

and a #3 QB for sure

yeah I just know it will be a system guy, or someone they at least have seen, otherwise it will be palko or stull to the PS and carry 2 QB's.

it wouldnt shock me to see 2 QB’s with the other positions having a guy or two they may not want to cut
