KCPorkchop's Big Ole Post of Awesome
WARNING: This post has no real intellectual value. This post is not the place to come for a good debate. It's just a post of silly, awesome, hoopla. We finally won a preseason game and the countdown to Monday Night Football is on. So if you want to get excited about our team and all that is awesome, this post is for you. If you are not all about the awesomeness, then by all means, visit one of the other insightful posts here at AP.
Thank you,
KCporkchop
Okay, now that I've got that out of the way let's get the awesomeness started.
Is everyone aware that we drafted this guy?
Come on I couldn't start a post about all that is awesome with the Kansas City Chiefs without starting things off with Eric Berry. But Berry is just the tip of the ice burg. Here we go.........
First off it is awesome that this guy is not running our team anymore.
"Sure Larry go spend some of your millions we paid you at the club tonight. What could go wrong?"
It is awesome that we replaced him with this man.
"Bill, I know you're excited, but get your hand off my thigh."
It is REALLY awesome that when things aren't going right for our team, we get this......
or this..........
instead of what we had for three years prior, which looked something like this........
and sadly, sometimes it even looked like this.....
Now I know Haley has made some mistakes and some of you think his brash style may not be a good fit with all the players. Some of you think he is just too big of hard ass....
"DAMN IT PORKCHOP!!!!! THIS POST IS SUPPOSE TO MAKE PEOPLE FEEL BETTER ABOUT THIS TEAM. MOVE THE F-ING POST ALONG. YOU HEAR ME?!?! MOVE THE F-ING POST ALONG!!!!!!!!"
Sorry coach.
Okay, some of you refuse to get caught up in the awesomeness that is our beloved Chiefs. The number one reason I hear for this is that people haven't seen that Matt Cassel has developed. If that is you, rest easy friend I have the photos to prove he has. Take a look at this.........
Now, take a look at this...........
Now tell me he hasn't developed! Oh, you meant on the football field, my bad.
That's okay. I did some digging and think I've figured out why he hasn't been able to duplicate his numbers from New England thus far in KC. Look at this picture.......
Now clearly "Darth Hoodie" was able to teach Cassel some kind of "Jedi mind voodoo" that allowed him to have better control of the football. Haley was not able to unleash these same powers last year. Enter this man........
who is starting to resemble.........
Coincidence? I think not. So clearly we can expect Matt Cassel to return to his awesome New England form.
While we're talking about coordinators, isn't it awesome that this guy is our DC.....
Instead of this guy.........
Oh the awesome fury that Romeo will unleash on the opposing QB. Starting with this guy......
You can run, you can hide, your left tackle can put him in a choke hold, but Tamba WILL get to your QB. Awesome!
Also awesome...
I don't even have to say anything about that one, it's awesomeness speaks for itself.
Now not all of the defense has reached awesome status yet. Last year's top pick Tyson Jackson still needs to step up. The good news is I hear he is staying after practice to work on getting to the QB. Matt Cassel isn't thrilled about it though....
"Tyson man, practice has been over for 20 minutes! Quit chasing me man, I want to go shower!!!!"
Seriously though I can understand those of you who don't think that draft class is awesome, I mean I...
"DAMN IT PORKCHOP!!!!!!! STOP TALKING ABOUT LAST YEAR'S DRAFT. HOW ABOUT YOU TALK ABOUT THIS YEAR DUMB ASS!!!!!"
Sorry coach.
So have I mentioned that Eric Berry is awesome?
Mad props to AP's CMatthews for the pic above.
If that wasn't enough we have the awesome "Offensive Weapon"
and we now have this awesome kick returner..........
and if Kendrick Lewis steps up we may have the most awesome pair of rookie safeties ever!
(See how I slipped another Berry pic in there? Awesome!)
Now in order for Lewis to start he has to beat out Jon McGraw who is an awesome guy, but if we see any more of this...............
McGraw may be seeing this.......
Now I'm really excited that Dwayne Bowe seems to have stepped up his game. I think he will have an awesome season and hopefully we'll see a lot of this guy........
and not this guy...............
Who looks WAY to much like this guy.....
But we don't have to worry about Mr. 2.7 anymore. We have this guy........
Nobody can argue that JC isn't awesome. The jury is still out on Thomas Jones, but one thing is for sure, his guns are awesome.
We haven't seen guns like that in KC since this guy left town.....
"FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY PORKCHOP, WRAP THIS THING UP!!!!
Sorry coach.
The most awesome thing is that the season is almost here. Monday Night Football is almost here. I don't care if I'm "too excited". I can't wait to be here.....
and sit along side the most awesome fan base in the NFL.
I just hope I don't have to sit next to this lady....
So get excited AP. Get excited Chiefs Nation. The season is coming and it is going to be AWESOME!!!!!!!
And now, finally, PORKCHOP is OUT
(okay maybe one more Berry pic)
Now I'm out.

Awesome!
Heres to MNF…hopefully we win, but most of us here probably realize how near impossible it seems…but if we win then a new era of Chiefs football has begun…
Just like the last Packers game was the beginning of the end, then hopefully this victory over them, even if its preseason, means the beginning of the new era…
When you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail.
Jamaal above all. #25 ftw.
Weis as Xavier is brilliant!
THE BOTH HAVE THE SAME FIRST NAME!!!
Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate, so he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.
Jackson may still be chasing, but i don't think he'll ever catch him or any other QB :p
Great job, man but after watching our defense in that game I don’t think even this post could make me smile more than I am already. :)
Bring it on Denver, Oakland, and San Diego I hope you ate your Wheaties, cause your about to be run over bitches.

Awesome!
Agreed, best AP post of 2010.
"We lost!" Delmas yelled at reporters. "What you want? What you got to ask me?"
Delmas stared at reporters defiantly.
"That’s what I thought,"

Off topic
On a recent visit to MHR some of the guys were talking about how McDaniels was going to come up with plays the league has never seen before and how they were going to be so complex, so i hacked his computer and found this.

Love the pic of Herm laughing
I would laugh too if I was terrible at my job and made enough money in three years to set up my family for generations.
Nice post. It’s funny and awes….uhm…groovy.
Predictions:
1) Fans will feel just scads better from mid-to-end of the 2010 season.
2) During the 2021 season, Ryan Succop will become the Chiefs’ all-time leading scorer with 1469 points.
Nice post Porkchop. Rec'd
Very funny commentary with great pics. Very well done!
I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.
I you could turn Berry into Jelly
There would be no need for peanut butter.

Awesome post. I don’t know the meaning of “Rec,d” but it seems to be the appropriate form of kudos,,,,,,,so Rec’d!!!!!!

Rec'd
Means that you hit the red “Rec” button that appears at the bottom of the post. This shows up (as in “11 recs”, or whatever number) next to the Post’s title.
If a post gets 15 Rec’s, it gets bumped up to the “Recommended Fanpost” section, so it will stay longer so more people can read it.
You Rec a post if you recommend it to others, and want it to stay around. That help?

This is proof that Pioli had to draft McCluster after drafting Berry in the first.
McCluster may be kryptonite to Berry’s Superman, but since they are on the same team we don’t have to worry about it.

I also like the look on McCluster's face...
Wide-eyed horror. I wonder if he always looks like a scared rabbit when he has the ball. lol.

Never mind...
SB Nation cuts off his head in that pic, and I’m too lazy to edit it so that doesn’t happen.
