Javier Arenas Joins Chiefs' Tyson Jackson, Ryan O'Callaghan On The Sidelines
The Kansas City Chiefs took to the practice field on Tuesday morning as they enter the bye week.
Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star reports the Chiefs had a handful of players in the conditioning area during practice:
- DE Tyson Jackson: He's recovering from a knee injury and him doing some jogging today is a good sign for the Indy game.
- RT Ryan O'Callaghan: He's had a groin injury dating back to the end of August. We're not sure what his timetable is.
- CB Javier Arenas: He went down on Sunday against the 49ers but we're not sure what happened.
The Chiefs are off this week so we won't be getting normal game week stuff like the depth chart (at least I don't think we will).
The Chiefs also had a bunch of players act as coaches today. Hop on over to Babb's Twitter page* to see the list of coaches. I'd say most of them make sense.
*You should follow @KentBabb but also make sure you follow @ArrowheadPride because he's mopping the floor against us in Twitter followers.

He rolled over his ankle on one of his returns

Hope so
We need him just as bad at Nickel as we do in the return game.

He did come back.
And played a lot.
Run D is the key this year.

Yep
So I’m guessing this is merely precautionary.
I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.
I saw ankle, and they were working on it, but lets hope its not a high ankle sprain
Team Pioli/Haley. Decade of the Chiefs.
Team Colquitt
More like low ankle, maybe even foot.
"I ain't lyin' 'bout nothin'."
"Oh? So what exactly are you lying about?"
This is perfect.
Gamesmanship from the coaching staff. Perfect.
"You gonna pull them pistols...or whistle Dixie?"
Coaching!
This is great because when we enter a hostile environment (Indy) we will have on the field coaches to recognize schemes and call plays when we can’t hear the plays from the sidelines…This will result in better execution on the road.
WE WILL BEAT INDY! And when we do…a 7-0 start is no longer unlikely…
from Babb's twitter:
Here’s a list of the honorary coaching staff: WR – Urban, Copper, Chambers. RB – Jones. OL – Waters, Wiegmann, Lilja. TE – Pope.
DB – McGraw, Flowers, Daniels (oddly). DE – Smith, Edwards. LB – Williams, Hali, Vrabel
I love this idea for the bye week. We have a little more scheduling breathing room, so we can do some less conventional techniques.
Honestly, some of the best learning I’ve done is by teaching!

Congrats To Flowers
He’s the only less than 5 year player on this list. Shows his stature his really growing.
