I'm sure most of us have seen the Family Guy episode where Peter Griffin held a segment on their local news of "You Know What Grinds my Gears?"  and I have seen a few people post such things on here following in those same footsteps.  Well, now it's my turn...

Do you know what grinds my gears?  Sports analysts!  Most of them are former players, great as they were, but now retired and now sit at a desk and tell people about how much 1 team is awesome and another team sucks.  Like, NFL network for example...they spent about 90% of the off-season telling you that they cover all 32 teams and they they cover all teams evenly, and to even try and prove their point to us, they did a segment where they reflect on 1 team a day so all fans are appeased...unless you are the Kansas City Chiefs...

I watched this episode, in anticipation on what they would think of the draft and the off-season acquisition of Thomas Jonesand the updated coaching staff and to hear them say that they think the Chiefs will be a contender sooner rather than later...mostly I was just excited that the Chiefs were finally gonna be talked about for 30 minutes like all the other teams in the NFL.  They were going to get some coverage.  That was not what happened...at all...

They spent two minutes talking about the TJ pickup as a "pretty good" pickup, the next two minutes talking about how much Matt Casselsucked in 2009 compared to his 2008 debeut with the Pats and then a final three minutes before the commercial break not talking about the awesome draft but how much the defense will still suck because they did nothing to address the front seven...well, all I can say to those "analysts" at NFL network is, "Whose unbeaten?  Whose unbeaten?  Billick...is your former team you worked for sitting at a lofty 3-0?  No?  Prick!  How about you Mr. Warren Sapp...is your Tampa man-crush still undefeated?  No?  How about Dieon Sanders?  Marshall Faulk?  Michael Irvin?  Jamie Dukes?  Charles Davis?  No?  Then shut the hell up and actually give every team their due instead of dry humping the East Coast or West Coast like a 13 year old with his girlfriend on her parents couch!  Every team has fans and watch your crap on a regular basis so give the masses what they want and spread the friggin' wealth, you sons of...well, I won't lower myself to their level by finishing that last remark."

You might think I'm ranting...and maybe I am, but we all need to rant sometimes...it's good for the mind to get that stuff out there and see that someone else is thinking just like you about a situation.  Ranting is good and right now I'm ranting about the stupid NFL network and their biased view of the organization.  What do you all think?  Does it grind your gears too?
