Earlier today, Joel mentioned that the Kansas City Chiefs are now ranked #1 in rushing yards throughout the NFL. After looking at where the Chiefs rank relative to the rest of the league for a number of stats, I've got good and bad news to report.

First, the good:

• The Chiefs' defense is ranked sixth against the run;
• KC is ranked fourth in punt return average;
• The Chiefs are ranked fifth in allowing sacks;. and,
• The Chiefs' defense is highly ranked in first downs allowed, rushing yards allowed, opponent's third down percentage and kickoff return average.

Now, on to the bad:

• KC is ranked 29th in passing yards per game;
• We're almost at the bottom of the league in first downs per game - 27th; and,
• Our third down percentage puts us at 24th best in the league.
