1. Like MNChiefsfan said, Charles NEVER rushed for a first down during a third down conversion in the 3rd quarter. The one that he did rush for in the fourth quarter helped keep the drive alive and resulted in the game winning FG. The 3rd and goal before that FG, Charles was in the backfield, but the pass to Tony Moeaki was incomplete, and Richardson got flagged for holding. Charles was involved in every drive in the second half, except for the final one.
2. Charles was NEVER noticeably frustrated. I'm starting to think one person started this ridiculous rumor that Charles was pouting on the sideline, and it's just caught on like the plague because the overall consensus from the fan base is that we want him to get the ball more, therefore our wants are automatically in line with what Charles wants. Maybe I missed it though. Anyone that is claiming they saw this, and has the game recorded, please find it and fill us in on when this happened.
3. Not only was he NOT hiding in a tent... but he was standing about 5 feet away from Haley (right next to McCluster) during the final drive. And as I said above, he was involved in EVERY drive before that. However... there was one point in the 4th quarter with about 5:30 left when the Chiefs had the ball, and someone screamed "Charles!". The very next play (at around 5:20) Charles got the ball handed to him. He gained about one yard, got up, and went to the sideline. He did shake his head a little bit... but he also just got stuffed for a yard. The next play Jones ran for a gain of 7 yards. Charles didn't carry the ball after that (incomplete pass on 3rd and 2), and we ended up punting, and Jones got the ball 4 straight times on our next drive and sealed the game for us.
4. THE SHAUN SMITH AND ALEX MACK INCIDENT... AKA the most important controversy of the game:
Couldn't actually see anything... but with about 2:05 left in the 3rd quarter you can definitely hear someone say: "You grabbed my F*#&@!$ balls man!" and you hear the response: "What you gonna do about it?" lol. The confusing thing about this is that the penalty that Mack committed later on DJ didn't come until 2 or 4 series later. That and Mack wasn't even blocking Smith before this lingual poetry took place. Mack blocked to the right, and Smith got blocked to the left by St. Clair, although they did end up by each other before the camera cut away. So unless there was more molesting going on by other players (or Smith was just on a roll that day), this is where I think it happened.
Bottom line is that this whole Charles BS is just that. BS. People need to stop speculating and back their nonsense up with cold, hard, indisputable FACTS. Because everything is pointing to the opposite of some BS locker room issue. Haley has gone on record saying the "RBs are the strength of this team" and that "All the RBs will play important roles this year". Charles has said he doesn't have a problem, and that Jones is like a big brother to him. And to top all of that off... the Chiefs are 2-0. They're winning games. To think that some locker room implosion is imminent because a team that has only won 10 games in 3 years is 2-0... yet didn't give the ball to their star RB enough is straight up BALONEY. Get real people. Drop this nonsense already.
