You're right about the SB odds...
But the odds of winning the division (according to FO) are:
KC- 66.1%
SD- 15.4%
Den- 16.3%
Oak- 2.2%
We have a 72.7% chance to make the playoffs…
But I think even the writers over at FO would tell you that these projections are a bit early. We do have the best math possible for us, with us winning a division game and the other two teams in the div losing.
Your #'s were the 'mean' wins
Basically, they’re now projecting us for 9.7 wins. Man, hope they’re right.
DVOA is the acronym for Defense-adjusted Value Over Average

We are #1 for Special Teams DVOA
And after last week, that can’t be surprising.
It’s great, but not a shock.
Starting Field Position
Last week I did a fanpost regarding the importance of field position. I’ll put the follow up stats here, since I’m using the same source, cpa. The first number is the average starting line of scrimmage. Of the top 10 teams, 8 won their games. Pretty good correlation as predictive stats go. The Chiefs ranked 6th. That’s “in spite” of taking one of the punts all the way, which does nothing for the starting LOS average.
