Chiefs Reportedly Give LB Andy Studebaker Contract Extension

Stay connected for news and updates

The Kansas City Chiefs have been pleasantly surprised by the play of outside linebacker Andy Studebaker. The 2008 sixth round pick was acquired off the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad in November of 2008.

Studebaker is viewed as the heir apparent to Mike Vrabel at the outside linebacker spot opposite Tamba Hali.

Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports that the Chiefs have given Studebaker a contract extension.

He's in the final year of his rookie deal and is scheduled to make a base salary of $470,000.

No word yet from the Chiefs on this one but they don't comment on contract stuff anyway.
