Chiefs vs. Chargers: Dexter McCluster A Game-Time Decision, Shawne Merriman Out
The Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers will release the inactives for tonight's Monday Night Football game around 7:45 p.m. this evening.
In the meantime, Kara Henderson of NFL Network reports that Chargers LB Shawne Merriman will not play. This isn't a surprise as he was listed as doubtful, which means it's almost certain he wouldn't play.
Henderson also reports that Chiefs WR Dexter McCluster will be a game-time decision.
As you know, McCluster was originally listed as doubtful but was later upgraded to questionable after practicing Saturday evening.
If McCluster is out with the same flu-like symptoms that I'm battling then kudos to him if he gets on the field.
Either way, I'm guessing McCluster will be in the line-up this evening.

Dude
A game-time decision? Ha!
I bet this started as a legitimate “I feel icky” and now is more of a play by the coaches to screw up the bolt’s defensive game plan.
I don't think anyone can game plan for McCluster

Nope. There is no such thing as a "plan"
for the Dex Factor. He does too many things at once.

the denial from the fans in AP are getting ridiculous
mindgames, etc etc? really?!?!
Other Arenas wish they could be like Arrowhead Stadium and when rivals think they are going to be fine on an island of Flowers, they will get hit by what feels like a Carr. Ultimately, they will never be able to eat a Berry ever again.
I hope for no major reactions either way...just one of 16...but a win will be HUGE because I hate the chargers almost as much as I love the chiefs

Concur...
and it helps that the Donkeys and Gayders have already lost. We win, even though it’s only week one, we sit atop the division…..ALONE!!!

More similarities
I’ve always gotten pissed by the way the Pats worked the whole injury system. I’m strangely ok with it when the Chiefs do it…

Saw that on his Facebook earlier. There is no way he is going to miss the biggest game of his young career.
Merriman
Steroid boy is a shadow of his former self anyway. Jyles Tucker’s probably better than he is or at least as good at this point.
If our offense does anything, the announcers will attribute it to Mary-man being out though.

Thing 1 and Thing 2...both have already predicted the chargers to win the SB
Plan on muting the TV and streaming 101.1 online

I've had the same dream every night this week. I think it means that the spring season flopped and my subconscious has gone into reruns.

goood luck
Their website kept going down during the preseason games so I wouldn’t think that it would be reliable tonight
Not a clue.....
…but I do know that Suzy Kolber will be on the sidelines. I only know this because I saw her Saturday morning in the lobby at the Intercontinental Hotel. Embarrasingly, I almost knocked her over as I was turning around to leave….but we both avoided each other just in time to avoid contact. She is quite attractive for a woman in her 40’s….very short, though….which is why I think I didn’t see her coming my way. Ha! I was pretty embarrassed I almost hit her once I realized who she was and said I was sorry, but she just gave me a big smile and kept on walking to the front desk.
I carry a lighter around in my pocket wherever I go...I don't smoke, I just really like certain songs.
So when we lose today...
ok IF we lose today, what will be the reaction from everyone?

Hope McCluster does play.
Will be exciting to see his explosiveness in a meaningful game. So exciting that I’m going to have to get off of work early tonight so to see the entire game.
R.I.P. Derrick Thomas. The Chiefs and the World have never been the same since your untimely death.
I would hope hes at least active to fire up the crowd with a punt return or something

They just cut to Kara live on NFL Network...
she just now said “It looks like [McCluster] will probably go (play) tonight…”
Suze Kolber just said live on ESPN
that DMC is listed as questionable but she expects to see a whole lot of McCluster tonight. Sounds great!

I heard that as well! I am so psyched!!!
But what was that segment with Haley and Cassel talking about their relationship about? I caught the very end of that.
by ChiefsFanSTL on Sep 13, 2010 4:54 PM CDT up reply actions
it was only like a 1 minute clip
Suze said something about a rumor of bad feelings/relationship between Cassel and Haley so they just played the end of some interview with the both of them and Haley saying good things about Cassel.

the only "bad feelings" would involve cassel's mediocre to poor play...outside of that it sounds like trying to make something out of...well...his poor play

Part ESP - Part Analysis
These predictions may or may not favor the Chiefs. Outcome hangs in the balance.
1. Bowe six receptions
2. Berry separates Gates from ball early in the game to set tone or Gates prevails sending momentum to Chargers
3. Jones makes a critical 3rd or 4th down run. You’ll know when it happens.
4. Haley makes a unusual but successful/unsuccessful coaching decision.
5. Arenas makes a play or plays that makes him a bigger factor in the game then anyone suspects.
6. Game swings one way or the other for good in the 3rd quarter
