Chiefs vs. Chargers: First Injury Report Lists Two
The Kansas City Chiefs filed their first injury report with the league office listing two players for the Thursday edition.
LB Cameron Sheffield did not participate in practice with a neck injury and RT Ryan O'Callaghan was limited in practice with a groin injury.
We never knew what O'Callaghan's injury was. A groin's one of those injuries that can be aggravated if you don't take your time.
The San Diego Chargers also listed a pair of players on the injury report.
QB Billy Volek did not participate in practice with a knee injury and LB Shawne Merriman was limited in practice with an Achilles' injury.
We'll see another injury report like this for Friday. On Saturday, we'll see the final injury report with designations of probable, questionable doubtful and out.

San Diego better hope they can keep Phyllis Clean
cause they do not have alot of depth behind her , if volek cant go who is there backup ?
Chiefs will be competing for a division title in 2010
It would be kind of ironic
If after getting so much good press for getting a great pick for their old backup, they needed him early this season…
I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.
After Volek is J.T. O' Sullivan
Phyllis Rivers won’t be able to hear a thing and his lineman, receivers, and running backs will struggle with audibles and coverage calls. Our mixed blitz packages will bring down the reigning Mrs. California quick, fast, and often…I am looking for a minimum of 7-sacks!!!
Believe that!!! Go Chiefs!!!

I'm not wishing this on anyone, but...
it may be another Tom Brady situation here. Rivers out in the 1st game of the season?
