Tonight's Kansas City Chiefs training camp practice, the second of the day, was watched by over 8,000 Chiefs fans. Joel relayed some information to me before he gets his full post practice report done, which is probably around 11 PM.
This evening's two hour practice was partially played under the lights (Hint: Check out camp and let us out-of-towners know how it is), which had to be amazing. Joel said the weather was the coolest it's been since camp started, which I'm sure only added to a relaxing evening in St. Joe.
Chiefs G Brian Waters did not practice again, and has not practiced since camp started. RB Thomas Jones appeared to be given the night off from Todd Haley. Both were on the bikes.
Here are a few more notes before Joel gets his full post in:
- OLB PIerrre Walters returned to practice after missing camp with an unknown issue;
- The offensive MVP was easily OW Dexter McCluster, Joel tells me. After dropping a screen pass early in practice, McCluster dominated from then on.
- Joel said the defensive MVP was S Kendrick Lewis, whose aggressiveness all over the field really stood out.
