PHOTO: Chiefs RB Javarris Williams Goes After LB Corey Mays
The Kansas City Star always has an excellent set of photos after the Kansas City Chiefs training camp practices and Tuesday's practice is no different.
Star photographers caught second year running back Javarris Williams going after linebacker Corey Mays in a camp fight.
These fights really aren't a big deal. Sure, they're fun for about 15 seconds until they're broken up. Then the players go back to business. I haven't seen any of these carry over to the next play. It's just the nature of 100+ degree weather, pads and tough practices.
I've got another picture of it after the jump. Check out the full gallery at the Star's website.

Either that or Williams is a midget.

Im so torn about Williams
I hope he makes the squad, but I have a feeling Kestahn Moore may bump him from the roster. I really hope he pans out.
This is our year.
Always so negative....
"I’d go to battle with him every day of the week." Todd Haley on Matt Cassel
This statement is why I am on the Cassel train, drinkin the Kool-Aid!
hopefully mays is kickin ass
I had so much high hopes for that guy last preseason and then he just flatlined during the season.

I have never seen anyone bounce off of more ball carriers
Time and again, Mays would get his hands on a ball carrier and the guy would bounce right off. IMHO, Mays is the single most overrated Chief. If he doesn’t greatly improve, I’ll be disappointed if he makes the team. I hope Pioli can upgrade that position before camp is over. Re-watching last year’s games makes one wonder what the hype on Mays was all about and why DJ and/or Belcher didn’t replace him. Mays sucked, and I say that as a fan who REALLY wanted him to be successful.

Mays is overrated?
I think most of us know he played bad last year. Good luck if he’s got to cover a TE, good freaking luck.

Carr is by far the most overrated player on the team, imo

You crack me up.
You act like there is any difference between believing in Cassel and thinking he sucks. It’s purely an optimist verses pessimist perspective.
The level headed thinking would be let’s see what he does this year with a better team around him.

He had a chance...
and he couldnt even beat out Leinert.
He barely beat out Brodie

Hey, beating out training camp brody
is no easy feat.

Maybe we try starting Brodie in a few regular season games
And just lie to him and say it’s still pre-season. Or some other kind of exhibition.
Chiefs - back in the playoffs in 2011.
What was he gonna do?
Sucker punch him?

Can you feel the tension in the air...
It’s hot. The season is a month away. Everbody is trying to play nice, but it’s just a matter of time before we start ripping at each others throats on here…
