My thoughts on Madden and the Chiefs

I thought I give a quick summary of how I think the Chiefs are on Madden.

Let me start out by saying, I have taken down Nick Wright on Madden and will take down you too.   Username:  Vv_Aquaman_vV.

Last game I played I had 6 picks - 5 with Berry.  So let me start out by talking about the Chiefs secondary...

I always like to control the FS.  In this game, we got EB on the team which fits me perfectly.  I can pick off a TON of passes with Berry, but overall the Secondary is sick.  I always bench Page for Lewis.  Lewis has more speed and I get a ton of INTs with him.  Both Carr and Flowers are rated nicely in the game and are great coverage CBs.  Berry is amazing in the game, although they had to bring down his rating b/c he is a rookie, they should not have tooken it all from tackling (52).  Although last game I played I had 5 INTs, 10 Tackles, 1 FF with Berry.  Secondary is amazing for KC in Madden.

The D line is what it is.  I do not get a lot of sacks, but I also do not control the D Line since I play 95% of the time as Berry.  Although I do not use them, Tyson and Dorsey are really good at stopping the run.  Weird, huh?

The linebackers after the last update are DJ and Belcher.  I love that.  I have had a couple INTs returned for a TD with Belecher and DJ is everywhere in that game.  Also, Vrabel and Hali are solid when it comes to containing the outside runs.  Although Vrabel's speed is low (71), his tackling skills and coverage skills are great.  I do get a handful of INTs with Vrabel where Hali's hands are like stone.

The running game in this is sick.  Charles is all I use and I use it all day.  Charles breakaway speed game and ability to cut is the best in the game.  I have hit so many homeruns with this guy its unreal.  He is also scare off the screen pass.  My biggest concern is that you can not sub in McCluster as a RB.  Lame.  Finally, if you are at the goalline, I HIGHLY suggest running a sweep play with Charles... you are going to score.

The WRs are pretty good actually.  Bowe (like real life) breaks tackles like crazy and also is a great blocker down field.  He has good hands in the game.  Chambers is the same.  I put in McCluster as the 3rd String WRs and you have to love that match up.  Look for him to get marked up with a LB from the other team and he should then become your #1 target.  He is also sick on outside flag routes.  One of the secerts to the Chiefs is using Pope and his HUGE frame to get some first downs.  He is great in the game, but mainly b/c of his brut size.

That leads me to the QB.  Cassel can be horrible at times.  I mean HORRIBLE.  I think the biggest issue with the team in Madden would be Cassel.  Fumbles the ball a lot too.

Anyways, I just wanted to post my thoughts on Madden.  Hope to see you out there and maybe you to can get "Berried".  I would like to coin that saying too if no one has.  I use it all the time when I play the game and using the headset to talk a little trash.  YOU JUST GOT BERRIED!

PS - NHL 2011 comes out Sept. 7th - AMAZING!!!!!
