A look at how the Chiefs have used Dexter McCluster so far in preseason and the (good) problem the Chiefs have with him.

Has he been the "qb" in the wildcat yet?

They could def do some damage in that. I like the quote about his eyes lit up when they asked him to return. He wants to be on the field and contribute, hell some of these vets could use some of that mindset. JC,Dex,D-Bowe and Chambers that’s gonna scare the defenses sometimes just on the simple fact of making them actually have to THINK now out there against us. Big things comin!

+1 on making opposing D's "think"

Remember the previous years when we only had 2-3 threats tops? Account for LJ and Tony G and you’ve eliminated 95% of our offense (good thing Tony was so good that it was hard to take him out).

It’s nice to have some legitimate play-makers on the field this year.

The Chargers Sign The Gecko

In order to simulate Dexter McCluster on the scout team, A.J. Smith has signed The Gecko, hoping to get him through to the practice squad. Smith said, “We considered a couple of alley cats from the Canadian Football League, but McCluster is much quicker than a cat. We don’t know any other way to simulate his moves.”

Trade him now with the hype so high!

Aaron Rodgers for Dexter straight up!!!

Other Arenas wish they could be like Arrowhead Stadium and when rivals think they are going to be fine on an island of Flowers, they will get hit by what feels like a Carr. Ultimately, they will never be able to eat a Berry ever again.

Funny you should say that

A friend of mine called me before our fantasy draft yesterday and asked about mccluster… I couldn’t bluff (I did try) and say stay away from the kid, I nded up raving about him and how I was targeting him to handcuff my keeper Jamaal Charles (if Charles were to go down, Dex instantly becomes a 15 carry/game RB without question). So of course my buddy ends up taking him in the 10th round (I thought I could wait one or two more rounds) and now he’s trying to get me to give him Welker for Dex straight up.

...And as the roar of 80,000 red-clad great plains warriors fills the hallowed halls of Arrowhead, it will strike fear into the hearts of lesser men. For on that field, individual men toil for something greater than individual honors. They toil as brothers-in-arms, as 53 spirits striving towards a single purpose and driven by a single goal: The glory that comes with vanquishing your foes. They will achieve their birthright, they will be champions.

i would take that trade

Wes is coming off of a BIG injury and, Run DMC might be better thatn him anyways

Welker is also the #2 WR on one of the most prolific passing offenses of its era

and averages an insane 120 catches a season. He is coming back from a big injury, but he’s also played well in the preseason so far, and will continue to be a big part of NE’s offense as long as he remains healthy. I got him cheap, but he has tons of upside and is a pretty proven player. Like it or not, Dex is nothing but potential right now. He may blow up and have an insane year, but he may not. And he’s unlikely to be as consistent as Welker has been.

If you have a PPR league, dex MIGHT be a star in fantasy, but I would pick Wes over Dex.

So far Welker looks pretty healthy…it’s potential (Dex) vs optimism (Wes’ knee)

I thought Dex WAS the next Wes Welker.

Or was it Urban?

Lance Long?

Will the real next Wes Welker please stand up?

10 + wins in 2010. Chiefs SHOCK the NFL!!! Mark it down.

DEX

is way more skilled than Wes Welker is…

by KCCHIEFS4EVA on Aug 30, 2010 1:08 PM CDT reply actions

wes welker

catch, rush, returner, field goal kicker. i haven’t seen him pass yet, but he can probably throw a ball…not as quick as dex. but it’s too early to say dex is “more skilled” right now. welker is proven.

Other Arenas wish they could be like Arrowhead Stadium and when rivals think they are going to be fine on an island of Flowers, they will get hit by what feels like a Carr. Ultimately, they will never be able to eat a Berry ever again.

Id really like to see Dex more involved in the passing game.

Its nice to see him at RB but we need help at receiver. Put him in the slot and let him tourch LB’s, nickel backs and safeties.

I would think that we haven't shown a lot of plays designed for Dex

Wildcat, reverse, mis-direction….saving them for Sept 13th

I'd rather be a failure at something I love than a success at something I hate.
