Ask any Chiefs fan and they will tell you that life has become numb the last 3 years. (Pic source)
Don't ask just any fan. I mean ask the fans that watch all the games, check all the stats, watch the tape till their eyes bleed. I'm talking about a hard core fan.
The hard core fan has endured the pain, paid the dues, sacrificed young rodents (uh...some of us anyway), and sat in frigged weather to see a lifeless display they called football these past three years. And for what?
I'll tell you for what. Ask any hard core fan and they will tell you. They wait, they hope, they dream for...
...The Awakening.
The hardcore Chiefs fan has made the trip to Arrowhead Stadium the past three years like zombies drawn to a mindless carnage,. They pay their money and bring their horns, and signs, and whistles, and posters, and wear their jerseys. All for one chance, one glimpse, the one hope that they will witness the awakening.
Since 2000, the hard core fan (and you had to hard core to watch the last 3 years) has had little opportunity to witness winning (living) football. In ten years the Chiefs have amassed seven 3rd or 4th place finishes in the AFC West.

But no more!
Scott Pioli, Todd Haley, Romeo Crennel, and Charlie Weis have come to Arrrowhead and performed an exorcism. They have banished the demons and life has stirred in Chiefs nation where it once did not. Pic Source
So rise Chiefs nation. Rise up from that endless slumber and behold what is to come. Witness the beginning of a new day, a new beginning.
Let these new Chiefs put behind them the curse of past managers, coaches, and players. Let the defense of old rise from the dead and take it's rightful place atop the AFC West.

It hasn't been much fun the last ten years watching San Diego, Denver, and Oakland perch themselves atop the AFC West in the defense categories while the Chiefs settle toward the bottom. But that is going to change.
It is going to change because life has returned to Chiefs nation. Come take part in the...
...Awakening.

around Chiefs Staduim...drive a stake
through the heart of that son-of-a-#%!%.
