I would like to preface with a comment that this post is NOT based on Thomas Jones preseason performance!  All of the preseason trade talk has involved the discontent Page and even DaJuan Morgan due to the depth we seem to now have at the DB position.  We seem to be waiting for that "desperate" team to come calling and throw in a better than expected draft pick, but the one that keeps staring me in the face is why not Thomas Jones?

On the plus side, he is a great teammate/leader who is definitely one of the "right" players this team is looking for and is relatively inexpensive.  On the other side, we have a young Charles and more depth at RB than we originally thought (especially if you include McCluster in this group), while Jones is aging and will only be losing a step going forward.  It has been very clear that both Charles/McCluster provide a "spark" when they are in the game while Jackie Battle may finally be ready to provide the power running game.

While I would never just "give him away", I would entertain offers.  Especially from teams in RB need . . .
