Maybe I'm jumping the gun a little here.
But there's been a lot of discussion lately about how we need to heave the deep ball a few times per game just to keep the defenses honest. And really, a legit deep threat will spread the D out enough to really open it up for our burners like Jamaal and Dex.
That said, we've seen in the last couple of weeks that Jeremy Horne can get separation downfield. And we've seen he can catch a pass when it counts.
So what are the AP faithful's thoughts on giving this kid some opportunities a few times each game to give Matty a deep target and keep the defense honest.
Let's face it, Chambers won't get younger. And Horne is only 23. He's also showing that he'll perform when it matters and that he really wants to get into games for the Chiefs.
Am I completely off my rocker here?
