As you all know by now, Jason Whitlock has left the Kansas City Star.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports Whitlock's next move will be to FOXSports.com on a full-time basis. Whitlock has previously been writing for FOXSports.com so I don't think this move is that unexpected.

As some of you may know by now, he's staging something we've never quite seen in Kansas City sports media history -- a three-hour radio show discussing his departure from the Star.

The three-hour radio show on Nick Wright's afternoon show on 610 Sports will kick off at 3:00 p.m. (CDT) on Friday. The first hour will be only Whitlock and it will be commercial-free. The second hour will be an interview with Wright. The third hour they will take calls.

Considering Whitlock's favorite topic was the Chiefs, I imagine we'll hear some interesting stories.

I spent some time talking with Wright at Oklahoma Joe's training camp this week and I'm pretty excited to hear this interview. Whether you love him or hate him, Whitlock can be entertaining.

'The Explanation' on Friday afternoon probably won't disappoint.
