According to NFLPA records, Chiefs CB Javier Arenas was being repped by agent Lamont Smith of All Pro Sports & Entertainment.

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post noticed Lamont Smith is no longer listed as the rep for Arenas.

No replacement is currently listed.

The part of all this you're concerned about: If he had hired Smith, and then fired him, there would be a five-day waiting period, which more than likely means we wouldn't see a contract from Smith while he's agent-less.

Then again, he could go the Brian Waters route and operate without an agent.

Now that I've written this, you can probably expect him to sign within the hour.
