Gilberry to host football camp

1

Former University of Alabama and Baldwin County High School star Wallace Gilberry is hosting a football camp on Friday and Saturday at Sellars Stadium in Robertsdale. Gilberry, who is heading into his third year as a defensive lineman with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, invites campers going into sixth, seventh and eighth grades to the camp, which will run from 4-6 p.m. on Friday and from 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday. Gilberry knows the game of football. He recorded 20 tackles, two assists and 4.5 sacks for the Chiefs in 2009. He finished his career at Alabama with 188 tackles, 60.5 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 38 quarterback hurries. He was a first team All-SEC Coaches’ Football Team selection in 2007. This is one kid I'm excited about this coming year. I think if the Chiefs' run D improves, he'll have to be a big part of it.
