Lions Sniffing Around Chiefs S Jarrad Page

Stay connected for news and updates

Jarrad Page has publicly requested a trade from the Chiefs and has yet to sign his restricted free agent tender. The Chiefs have been silent to this point and, with the exception of announcing his trade request. so has Page's camp.

But that doesn't mean there's not interest in the four-year veteran.

Per a league source, the Lions expressed interest in Page but the Chiefs aren't biting.

The connection to the Lions shouldn't come as a surprise. Defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham was on staff when Page was drafted so he knows him well. Earlier in the offseason, Cunningham said of the young Chiefs, "I would like to be there to catch a lot of them, because I know a couple of those guys."

The Lions currently have Louis Delmas at free safety but prior to the draft he was touted as a player that could play multiple positions, including strong safety.

We reported earlier in the year (and later confirmed) that the Chiefs offered up DaJuan Morgan to the Lions but nothing materialized.
