There is a lot going on in Chiefs Kingdom. Training camp is upon us where everything is possible. Bowe catching balls, 3rd stringers making plays, and rookies carrying pads. We love this time of year because it is giving us a preview of the coming season. It is giving us hope of a great team. There is going to be a lot of drama and big plays leading up to the pre-season but the Chiefs will make it through. I honestly think we will come out swinging and start the season off 3-0. What do you guys/girls think?

All About McCluster

We are all excited to have such an “Offensive Weapon” in McCluster. Although, most people think he is too small for the NFL we at Arrowhead Pride know better. He is extremely fast and will make a lot of plays for us. I’m thinking he’ll get around 900 yards receiving and 8 receiving touchdowns. Here is what some members of AP had to say about McCluster.

He is really going to show everyone why we drafted him! Cleats beware!

-jrcnc

McCluster will be a Pro Bowler

Mark my words.

-Nick Britt

A slot receiver and kick returner is where Welker came from and what McCluster is going to be asked to do.

-Steve_Chiefs

Between Arenas & McCluster we are in for an exciting 2010.

Talking Crap About The Chiefs

via t1.gstatic.com

I love it when other teams and fans talk crap about the Chiefs. To me it makes it that much sweeter when we win the game against them or do better then they do. I also like to have a good debate but a lot of blogs turn it into name calling without thinking logically. Here is what some members of other blogs had to say about the Chiefs.

Eric Berry is gonna get a pick

jammaal charlesn will eclipse 100 yards rushing and get at least one TD.
Other than that the titans are going to totally stomp the chiefs without a problem like they did in 08 and presumably every other time they face a team with less than 5 wins from the previous year.

-RareColoradoTitanFan (Titans Fan) Obviously!

Far too soon to give up on Ayers. I saw some glimpses of a good player last season.

The Jamaal Charles reserve suplex was a treat as well.

-NYCBronx (Broncos Fan)

Niners Defense will be incredible ferocious this year. It’d be hard for the Chiefs to win when they’re only kicking field goals.

-Hoopers Judge (49ers Fan)

The Chiefs are a terribly run organization

and their owner is a first-class asshat who thinks his show is the biggest in town (it’s not).

-bigbluethruandthru (Giants Fan)

Autographs

There has been some debate back and fourth about what is the acceptable age to get an autograph. Seriously? We should debate about this? If you are a fan, no matter your age you have the right to get an autograph. I do believe that children should go first. I also believe that you shouldn’t hassle a player for one. If there is an autograph signing and you love the Chiefs. GET AN AUTOGRAPH! Here are two that I’ve gotten and I’m just about 25 years old.

Interview With upamtn

Here is a good interview with our very own upamtn. Everyone thank him for taking the time to answer a few of my questions. I love reading his comments on here probably the most out of anyone. He is opinionated but speaks the truth. Thanks!

1. Do you think the Chiefs will win more than 8 games this year? Why or why not?

I certainly think it's POSSIBLE for this team to win more than 8 games, but I'm not counting on it by any means. I've been saying 8 wins for awhile now, based on the team being improved, of that there's little doubt, but there are always setbacks and much to learn, especially when counting on a good number of rookies and younger kids as this team has. It's a learning process, not only the jump from college to pros, but a system that's barely a year old (on both sides of the ball) and new coordinators who will change and tinker with this or that. Realistically I think we're looking at a "wide range" of 6-10 wins, and narrowing that down to 7-9 wins is, I think, appropriate for expectations of the team. With that 7-9 narrow range, I round it off to 8 wins and call it "realistic expectations."

2. Who is your favorite Chiefs player on the current roster? Why?

Brian Waters, without question. The guy is a leader in every sense of the word, on the field, in the locker room and away from the field, as evidenced by his Man of the Year Award. He's not afraid to speak his mind, and that's a critical component of being a leader, and he leads by example as well as being a vocal leader. After the famous "22 guys off the streets" incident of last year, Waters would well have been seen as a "pariah" by the current regime, but he's done his job and maintained his status as a major part of the team. He's one of the team's player reps with the union, an all-around leader and a solid role-model for the younger guys to look up and look to for direction. I'd take a team full of Brian Waters any day.

3. If you could have any "one" player from our division rivals who would it be and why?

Elvis! This team could definitely use someone who can get a good push into the backfield. Another thing I like about Dumervil is how he's gone about his business of being one of the best in in a very quiet and unassuming manner. No self-hype, no holdouts or threats, just being one of the best. Imagine him paired with Hali as twin OLB blitz threats.

4. What's your favorite Chiefs memory?

On field, other than our beloved "65 Toss Power-Trap" I think it would be Ed Podolak's amazing Christmas Day Playoff game vs Miami. Granted, it's bittersweet because we ultimately lost one of the most incredible games in the history of the NFL. But, Podolak's efforts in that game, his versatility, his endurance, his motor never stopping for nearly 6 quarters of play, almost carrying the team on his back the whole game, was a sight to behold. You couldn't ask for more from a player that what Podolak gave for his team on that day. Off field, it would be sight of Derrick Thomas strolling the halls of a school, his infectious smile radiant as he greeted throngs of children (and adults!) who were so eager to meet him, the kids not realizing how much he was doing for them in donating books and money, the adults amazed that anyone so fiece on the football field could be so charming and delightful in person. The numerous stories of DT's gifts and trips to schools throughout the country have made him my all-time favorite player, as with many other Chiefs fan, but for me it goes far beyond his play on the field, and stems from his generosity off the field and his genuine caring for those less advantaged.

5. Besides the Colts and Texans who will be our toughest opponent this year in your opinion?

Broncos at their house. Middle of the year, both teams likely around the .500 mark, and Denver is

always tough at Mile High. This year will be no different, and you know they're going to want some

"payback" from the last game of last season. I think by the time these two teams meet in Week 10,

both will have their "identity" and know what they can and can't do to a great degree, so it should be

a good test for both teams. No team has swept the AFC West, and despite what some on AP like

to think about our team's chances this year, I can't see it happening, not this year. At Denver and at

San Diego will be the toughest (aside from Indy) and that Mile High game is likely to be the toughest

game of all. It usually is.

Ok, thanks for reading everyone and rec this up so it stays up top for the month.

Here is my daughter Kaitlyn saying, Good-Bye and Go Chiefs!
