MNF Chiefs vs. Chargers - I'll will be there!!!

At 9:20 a.m., Monday, September 13 my Southwest flight from Denver, CO (Donkeyville) will land at Kansas City's airport (MCI).  It will be my first return to my favorite sports city in over 8-years and my first ever visit inside Arrowhead Stadium.  I have seen every American League team play the K.C. Royals atleast 6-times, and I have held tickets to a Chiefs game before but never made it through the gates (a really long boring story).  Yes, I am thrilled at the thought of being 1 of 78,000 in the Red Sea to watch our first MNF game in 6-years in the renovated Arrowhead Stadium in the national spotlight become witness to the Kansas City Chiefs return to dominance...

Star-divide

O' Yes, FINALLY, ChiefsAtWar (Noah) will return to Kansas City to watch my Kansas City Chiefs wearing the Red Jerseys for the first time in person.  I have seen them in the whites in Denver many times, and I have worn my White Priest Holmes jersey after selling my l.j. 2.7 jersey for .01 on eBay...But now I can wear my white pants, my red D.J. jersey, Berry jersey, Flowers jersey, or Cassel jersey proudly with my Arrowhead Addicts/Pride friends and make Arrowhead the loudest place to play again.

My seats are in Section 321, Row 37 but I will clearly be able to see Eric Berry pick off Phyllis River's attempted pass to Malcom Floyd, our O-line protect the Cassel, and the Kansas City Chiefs making the statement that 'WE ARE BACK!!!'

O'Yes, I have lived in Donkeyville for to long, but I have beer thrown on me at Invesco yearly and I have even gotten into a fight over Herm Edwards even though the drunk asshole was technically right about Herm.  I have always been a solid Kansas City Chiefs fan and I always will be.  GO Chiefs!!!!

Will you be there to witness this?!?!?!

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.

YES I WILL.

Keep your eyes on AP about a week before the game. I think I’m gonna start a post to try and get an AP tailgate together so AP members can meet and greet and toast the new season.

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I’m going to be just a couple sections over (324 maybe?). My first game since the season finale of 2006 when we snuck into the wildcard spot by beating Jax. I’ll have to see about the tailgate, I’m working that day (in the Wichita area) so I can take Tuesday off, so I may not get in until close to game time and I want to try and see the new stadium too. Just talking about it gets me pumped up.

Being a teacher I'm off during the summer

so I spend a lot of time playing with my 2 and 5 year olds, working on the house/yard, doing some traveling, etc. But don’t worry, training camp and work start back up about the same time so I’ll be able to pass my blogging conditioning test by the time the first preseason game rolls around.

Porkchop, you don't know me. I just joined up

But I just wanted to let you know that your Kool-Aid posts were some of my very favorite over the last year.

Crap, I even named one of my fantasy football teams “The Kool-Aid Drinkers”.

I’d like one glass of training camp Kool-Aid ASAP please!

I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.

Thanks man, that means a lot

I was planning on doing my first one after the first preseason game, but maybe I’ll put one out after a few more practices.

I can't wait!

I’ll be there, but am going with two friends that don’t want to spend money for the good seats, so I will probably be in the $59 upper-level seats. But that’s fine because I really just want to be there for this game no matter where the seats are.

Also, I assume they will have a flyover for this special occasion. I really hope so because I am very disappointed when I go to the game and there is no flyover…. one my by favorite parts aside from winning the game.

Haven't taken a vacation yet this year....

….I usually take a trip to Vegas every year, but I was thinking about going to this Monday Nighter instead. The ‘Longest Day In Sports’ package intrigues me, but I’m not a huge baseball fan, and I’m not sure I could drink beer/spirits AND eat BBQ and sausages for 12+ hours straight without either passing out and missing the game, or shitting myself and ruining the experience for the fans around me. =P

Any other Texans planning on going? Joel? Chris? — Maybe I’ll start looking into some tickets and try to hook up with some APer’s at the tailgate before the game.

Word.

I’m not as big of a drinker as I was 4-5 years ago. 12 hours of beer intake would likely leave me in a state unfitting to even be cognizant of the game. I sold my Royal’s tickets. I plan on showing up for the Chiefs game around 5, throwing back 4-5 cold ones and heading into the stadium early to check out the renovations.
