Before Chiefs Training Camp, Lamar Hunt Statue Will Be Unveiled

Stay connected for news and updates

The Kansas City Chiefs are making their way to St. Joseph, MO for training camp. The first practice will be at 1:50 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

However, there's still some business to take care of at One Arrowhead Drive.

The Chiefs on Friday will be unveiling what Clark Hunt calls a "heroic-sized" statue of his father, Lamar Hunt in the Founder's Plaza.

Here is where the statue will be (the black covering):

And Roger Goodell will be in town to watch the special dedication ceremony (as will I).

After that, we're making our way to St. Joe for the first practice.

Not a bad way to spend a Friday, right?
