The high water mark

Heh…That doesn’t sound too good.

That's your guess?

I’d imagine Bradford’s camp wants to hit that $80 million number.

by Joel Thorman on Jul 27, 2010 10:36 PM CDT up reply actions

yeah only a guess...

which would only be 4 or 5 million more guarenteed than Stafford got. Who knows…it might be outrageous and throw a wrench in getting Berry in camp on time. (not that 80 Million isn’t outrageous enough.)

80 million....80 freaking million....Im not one to bust out the "athletes make too much" but...ROOKIES make too darn much in the top 10

80 million….

is anyone even sure that bradford is a franchise QB? meh…by that I moreso mean he wasnt Peyton manning, who was injury free and coming off a year of college he didnt have to attend, whereas bradford had the injury….

just crazy…it would take a QB a long long time to earn that if he was taken any time after the 10th pick….thats just dumb.

to have alex smith out earning Aaron rogers on their rookie deals….pshh

yeah...I know there is so much involved...but still...thats ridiculous.

The pay for production concept makes more sense.

At least we’re paying Eric Berry.

I don't begrudge players making big money.

The NFL generates hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue each year, the players should get their fair share of it. But I agree, rookies should prove their worth the money before they sign gigantic contracts. And Bradford has BUST written all over him.

Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate, so he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.

So what is Berry's contract going to look like?

Last year at 5, Sanchez did 5 year.$50MM with $28MM guaranteed.
I’d say right around there…it is a year later, but QB is a premium position.

I bet youre right.

11-13% increase is the trend. The nice thing is if this comes true that should leave time to get Berry into camp on time.

Well you'd think

That with the Jamarcus Russells and Ryan Leafs out there they would have had control of this stuff by now. Honestly think of what Todd Blackledge would have made if his draft class was this year. Let’s see what pick 7 get this year and and that would be Blackledges slot. See what we could have paid for 5 lousy seasons…

People think there are 4 seasons. I beg to differ, there are 2...Football and Non Football Season!!!
