Why would he carry the pads of the reciever he was drafted to replace? Dez's skills are already a superior to Roy's.
Dez makes it clear that he is there for buisness not for fun.

I agree with you
But sometimes you just gotta jump through the hoops and play a long. Pay your dues…etc etc.
Other Arenas wish they could be like Arrowhead Stadium and when rivals think they are going to be fine on an island of Flowers, they will get hit by what feels like a Carr. Ultimately, they will never be able to eat a Berry ever again.
I get all that but the Cowboys have HUGE expectations and don't need to be worrying about crap like this.

Exactly right. Which is why Dez should shut up, do what he’s told, act like the rookie he is, and keep team harmony. I am sooooo glad we didn’t draft this prima donna.
That is the most ass backwards reasoning I have ever heard.
Yeah, the guy who wants to win championships and doesn't want to mess around is the prima donna.
Rrrrriiiiightttttt.
Word.
The guy who is too self absorbed and self important to be a rookie, who refuses to “lower himself” to do what thousands of rookies like Jerry Rice, Chad 85, TO, Randy Moss, Brett Farve, Dwayne Bowe, etc, etc have done for decades, is THE Prima Donna. Dez has done nothing, is nothing in the NFL, and should shut up, fit in, do what he’s told, like Rookies do, and stop acting like he’s the only guy who wants to win. He’s a punk, and this is precisely why he slid in the draft and cost himself millions, and will probably continue to do so.
Sooooo wanting to just get to business, workout, run drills, etc....
….just to be prepared for the upcoming NFL season and not wanting to clown around is a bad thing?
Here is a thought, maybe Dez doesn’t like clowing around or being humiliated or what ever it is they will do to him. Would it be better if all he wanted to do was mess around? Then would he be a “great guy”?
The guy can’t win in the eyes of fans or the media. All he has done is come into camp and give 100% and was the first 1st rounder to sign a contract…. Don’t prima donnas hold out? Then he refuses to carry the pads of another so called veteran and all the sudden all that he HASN’T done doesn’t matter anymore?
This is a JOB, just like any other job. Dez is treating it as such. You show up and work, if there is time left over and you have accomplished all your goals then by all means have some fun but not at the expense of a fellow employee.
If showing up everyday and busting his ass is a bad thing then I will take my chances with a player like Dez Bryant….. and I think in time alot of those teams that passed on him will regret it.

Agreed
I personally think all the rookie stuff is stupid. Carrying pads, being taped to the goalposts, etc. Just because it’s been done for years doesn’t mean it still needs to be done.
I look forward to seeing what Dez can do, even if it is for the Cowboys.
Clown around? All he had to do was carry a vets pads, like thousand’s of rookies before him, and thousands after him will do, not act like a self important jerk who is above all that. He’s a punk, he’ll fall far short of his potential, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s out of the league in a few years, in spite of his talent, UNLESS he undergoes a severe attitude adjustment/reality check.
