Former Chiefs QB Matt Gutierrez Lands With The UFL's Omaha Nighthawks
On June 14, the Chiefs somewhat surprisingly cut third quarterback Matt Gutierrez in favor of Tyler Palko. Neither player is (or was) expected to make an impact in the 2010 season so it really wasn't a big deal either way.
But Gutierrez has found a home with the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks. The former Chiefs quarterback is listed on the Nighthawks mini-camp roster.
Gutierrez isn't the only former Chief. Omaha's UFL team is stocking up on former NFL players with several Chiefs including CB Ricardo Colclough and LB Gary Stills.
Stills joined the club last year.
Check out all these other former NFL names on there: RB Ahman Green, DT Hollis Thomas, DB Anthony Dorsett, WR Robert Ferguson, OT George Foster, QB DJ Shockley and TE Jeb Putzier.
I remember a time last year when we briefly wondered about Foster, an offensive tackle. The Chiefs have come a long way since then.

Maybe he'll be throwing to T.O.

You're right.
He’ll just stick to making horrible reality TV shows.

You think so?
I don’t think putting TO in STL would be smart. They have a rookie QB that they’re trying to develop, and putting a primadonna in the huddle that will be screaming at him about how open he was and demanding the ball isn’t going to do Bradford any favors.

if that is the only option he gets
then he is going to take it. I think its an illusion to make it seem someone is interested and he will signe elsewhere. Regardless I wouldn’t mind him signing in St. Louis and ruining them even more than they already are!
Are we the team to beat in 2010? I sure think so! Go Chiefs.
come on, now ...

is that even possible???

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
yea your right
good luck next season Bradford and St. Louis I hope you can win 2 games this year, and with the amazing WR T.O. your chances go up to maybe 3 wins!

I'm not talking about whether or not he'll take it.
If no one else wants him beggars can’t be choosers. My thing is that if STL had any shred of dignity of thoughts of self preservation they absolutely would not bring T.O. to STL.
Honestly, I don’t think he’ll play in the NFL ever again. Remember people were having this conversation about Marvin Harrison last year. Some of these “super stars” take a while for their light to fade.

I think he will get one more shot
it will be this year and it will be his last. Someone is going to sign him, and your right, St. Louis would be smart to stay away, but sometimes teams like the hype and just want to get their names out there in the national media.

At least until producers figure out no one wants to watch him in "real" life.
