Last week word broke that the Chiefs had signed fifth round pick Cameron Sheffield. Within an hour, quite a few media outlets had "confirmed" the original report that, indeed, the Chiefs and Sheffield had agreed to terms.

The NFL also confirmed the move via their transactions page.

However, it took a few days for the Chiefs to officially confirm the news. On Tuesday, they did just that via the official site.

With Kendrick Lewis, this is the second Chief to sign. There are now five picks remaining, including first round pick Eric Berry.
