Still No Official Word From The Chiefs On The Cameron Sheffield Deal

Stay connected for news and updates

It's been about 24 hours since word first broke that the Chiefs had signed fifth round pick Cameron Sheffield. Since then, quite a few outlets have come out to "confirm" the original report from Mac's Football Blog.

The NFL confirmed the news via their transactions page on the league's website.

But the Chiefs have yet to confirm. The transactions page on KCChiefs.com has the Kendrick Lewis contract on June 29 as the last movement.

Perhaps Sheffield hasn't actually put pen-to-paper but an agreement has been reached.

We'll update when the deal becomes official from the Chiefs side.

For now, I'm hopping on a plane headed to D.C. Maybe I'll run into LJ.
