VIDEO: Adidas Man Eric Berry's New Commercial Cutting Up Nike Cleats
Kansas City Chiefs rookie Eric Berry hasn't signed a contract with the Chiefs but don't worry about him -- he's still getting paid. The most recent example of that is this commercial he shot with C.J. Spiller of the Buffalo Bills.
For those of you who are at work, you can still watch the video on mute. The premise of the commercial is that the new adidas cleat is only 8.6 ounces. It weighs less than a sports drink, a football and a Nike "competitor cleat".
The two have to start cutting off pieces of the "competitor cleat" to make it as light as the adidas shoe.

Yess!!
Thank you Berry for giving the Chiefs a mainstream face…Hope these videos don’t turn into a gimmick like Brady Quinn EAS commerical
Two things:
1. I don’t like seeing Eric Berry playing with scissors this close to the season opener.
2. I hope that is the last time I ever see Eric Berry quit.
Left Tackle is Brandon Albert's natural position.
He didn't quit
He made them equal and left. He’s like a Colt .45 in the wild west.
If you can sack groceries, you can sack a QB... right?
The kool-aid is now Berry flavored.
Stands to reason that the Adidas cleat would be a little easier to cut.
Durability would obviously be traded for making it lighter.
Maybe an NFL player doesn’t have to worry about replacing cleats every week, but high school kids’ parents are going to be pissed when they shell out $100 for some cleats that fall apart after 2 weeks.

Sorry...
That’s just the engineer in me evaluating the balancing performance vs. durability.

hmm...
I was thinking that part of it may be if the actual spikes on the cleats are made out of something different that is lighter. That may not effect the durability as much.

My little cousin says those Adidas don’t stay on your feet without a ton of tape. He says he has those exact same cleats but I don’t know.

I'll tell you this in any fight it is the guy who is willing to die who is going to win that inch. And I know if I am going to have any life anymore it is because, I am still willing to fight, and die for that inch because that is what LIVING is.

I know! That’s all I could find too! But I’m pretty sure you can find out somewhere when the Chiefs/Royals game goes on sale, and I bet that’s when all their single game tickets go on sale.

Um i don't know if i read your post right
But the monday night game and royals game earlier that day went on sale like last week
That's for a two pack deal (both games)
No way I’m going to a 1 PM base ball game and ending a football game at 1 PM.
I’ll just get Chiefs tickets separately.

Yea i know
I wanted to get tickets before they sold out so i just bought the package. The Royals tickets were only like $18
they should have used Tebow's new Nike
and cut it all up!!!
Are we the team to beat in 2010? I sure think so! Go Chiefs.
They should have cut up Tebow.
It would be like one of the SAW movies.

Injuries
For some reason I remember a study from a few years ago talking about how all of the lighter cleats were leading to more foot injuries such as the one Ty Law suffered. The companies and in turn the players were giving up the extra support for lighter shoes in an attempt to make them faster.
Very nice. Good job by them.

I used those nike cleats last year
and i can’t imagine a pair of cleats actually being lighter than those, it felt like i was wearing socks

Glad he didn't hurt himself
I can see the headline now:
“Top NFL pick Berry slices ligament in wrist while cutting shoes; out for season”

Forget the shoe. I can't wait until week 8 when the guy on the right knocks the block off the guy on the left.
"Success is never ending, failure is never final."
Yeah that'll be good times
Especially since one of my closest friends is a life long Bills fan.
Week 8 should be entertaining as hell. (For one of us, anyway).
Chiefs - back in the playoffs in 2011.
I bought some Black and Red Adidas' the other day...
Mainly for Gameday, didn’t even realize that it’ll match my Berry jersey. Nice.
berrys safety
you know they really shouldve gave him some safety scissors…………..not that i dont think he can handle regular scissors…just no need to take any chances this close to the season
