Former Chiefs LB Weston Dacus The Fourth Overall Pick In The UFL Draft
What, you didn't know the UFL Draft was going on? Luckily AP reader KcChiefsfan506 reminded us and pointed out that a few former Chiefs were drafted.
Here's the skinny on who was drafted:
LB Weston Dacus: Florida Tuskers, round 1
Dacus was an undrafted free agent for the Chiefs in 2008. He was the fourth overall (!) pick in the UFL draft.
G Adrian Jones: Omaha Nighthawks, round 4
Jones played for the Chiefs in 2007 and 2008.
WR Devard Darling: Omaha Nighthawks, round 8
Darling played for the Chiefs in 2008 and ended the 2009 season on IR.
Other notables drafted: WR Ronald Curry, DT Hollis Thomas, G Shawn Andrews, DE DeWayne White
Check out the full list of UFL draftees over at their Twitter page.

interesting, I liked Dacus, but he did seem like a guy who was meant to play pro football in a different league
Team Pioli/Haley
that said for dacus to go 4th overall....after not making a LB weak chiefs squad...

If it has to do with the Chiefs...
It’s news! Unless, that is, it’s about schlepping merchandise or the latest cheerleader selections. Wait, come to think of it, that sounds like a great expose for you Joel, please post photos!
Just keep matriculatin' the ball down the field, boys.
So
how much of a difference between this talent level and national championship college teams? It can’t be much.

"WIth the 5th pick in the 2010 NFL draft the Kansas City Chiefs select... Eric Berry Safety Tennesee... "
Shawn Andrews?
Am I reading right? Is it believed in league circles that hombre is done in the pro’s? Talk about a fall from grace. One year you’re the top offensive line prospect in the league the next year you’re sitting on your thumbs during free agency being drafted in the UFL.

I think he is borderline crazy. He also has had some serious injury issues the past two seasons.

Idk even with the injury concerns a cheapish contract(since there would be no bidding war)
for a power line scheme would be worth it

GO OMAHA!
They are selling season tickets (6 homes games and 1st chance to get your seat in playoffs and championships if applicable) for $40 here. These are only a few of the chiefs on the team. I noticed they had some other former chiefs already.
