A league source said Jacksonville offered Henderson to the Raiders in April for a fourth-round pick, but Oakland was willing to give up only a fifth-rounder.
'Big' John Henderson fills need for Raiders
Would you have given up a 5th round pick for John Henderson? I wouldn't.

Henderson's age renders him unworthy of any draft pick.....
in my opinion. I’m glad we didn’t bring him in.
On a semi-related topic, I think the Chiefs have a good shot at winning the division this year with Edwards and Smith sharing the NT duties.
That being said, I am also regrettably convinced that we will be unable to advance any further to win the AFC or a Super Bowl with a 3/4 defense without a truly dominant player at the NT position, that I’m starting the lobbying now. The draft Jerrell Powe data will remain in my signature until the position is addressed with a dominant force, or a better potential draftee for the position surfaces.
Henderson at this juncture of his career in my eyes is nothing more than the Raiders next Chester McGlockton.
His glory days are over.

Chiefs NT of the future: Jerrell Powe, Ole Miss; Height: 6-2; Weight: 330; Projected 40 Time: 5.35; Projected Round (2011): 1-2; The top nose tackle in the 2011 NFL Draft, Jerrell Powe collected 12 Tackles for Loss and two sacks in 2009, earning All-SEC Second Team honors.
You're not the only one with Powe in his sights for 2011.
You’re probably the only one so cock-sure of himself to begin campaigning for it in June, 2010, though.
no I wouldn't have
all he would have done was take playing time away from someone, I think we can roll into the season Smith and Edwards and be alright. Yes I wanted Henderson but not anymore after hearing about how everyone passed on him.
Are we the team to beat in 2010? I sure think so! Go Chiefs.
