Chiefs Players Getting An Early Start On Their Workouts
I generally start my day by getting to the office around 7:00 AM or so. Of course it always seems like it's waaay to early to be working. Apparently the Chiefs players are choosing to be up and at 'em that early.
Chiefs CB Brandon Carr talked with Josh Looney on the Red Zone Podcast this week and said the players are taking the 'Early bird gets the worm' approach.
"A lot of guys have come to the 7:30 [AM] session," Carr said. "That's odd because we have a 7:30 and a 10:00 and a lot of times guys want to get up late. But guys are eager to be out here and eager to work so they come to the 7:30 workout and get after it."
He talked about being a year into Haley's system and understanding where he's coming from. "The first year, we didn't know what to expect," Carr said. "Now guys have a feel for what coach Haley is looking for."
At some point, you would think all this offseason work and preparation would translate to W's on the field. The Chiefs have now had a full year in Haley's system so there shouldn't be anymore surprises along the way.
Presumably, knowing what to expect (and thus knowing how to prepare) will make things easier the second time around.

at least our team will be stronger earlier in the day than the other teams
and that HAS to count for SOMETHING

Are we the team to beat in 2010? I sure think so! Go Chiefs.
Good to hear our guys are putting the time in
I’m barely out of my bed by 7:30 most days.

Psssshhhh....
By 730 I’ve been at work for over 2 hours and have already ran 5 miles.
And all for a hell of a lot less than a million a year!! :-P
The puzzle is almost finished.
2010: Year of the Chiefs
By 07:30, I am just getting done working my 12 hour shift.
…I also get a HELL of a lot less then a million a year!! :-P

I would work my ass off for anything over $125,000/year
I wouldn’t miss a workout, a meeting, or a film session…I would even pick up Haley’s kids from school and take them to their practices, and the go hit the weight room again…Wish I could get a contract!!!
I don't know, I would prolly be late to a few practices because most of my free time would be taken up giggling like a little girl.

sounds like the right 53 to me
We never heard the end of it last year from the Pioli/Haley haters on how stupid the right 53 concept was. Well, I’d rather have what we are currently witnessing from our team’s behavior than Herm’s fat lazy asses.

Kabrink,
You said it all right there! What most of these fans don’t understand is the the fabric of wins is woven from the threads of good work ethic. You can’t have the fabric without the threads. I am with you my brother!
Hey Bowe caught the ball !
Winning isnt a matter of life and death, its more important than that.
Matt Cassel IS our franchise QB, and I cant wait to rub it MOST of your faces... YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
These Guys Are Worried About Holding on to TTheir Jobs
Good on them! A higher talent level means more people are concerned about making the team! Things are definately changing.
Its my firm belief that nothing good happens at 730 am.
Only bad things can happen that early!
Cry Havoc! And let slip the Chiefs Defense of War!!!
