Jared Allen trade worked out for both teams

Alot of Chiefs fans out there, I'm sure have been in the same position as i have. Everytime the Vikings are on ESPN and Jared allen starts to tear up the opposing Quarterback, they ask "What were you guys thinking? How could you give up a monster like this?!"

My reply all last year was we needed a tackle. (Even though, at the time of the trade i wasn't sure where we were going with the pick) I mean every game I watch, he is always making big plays, and it seems like everytime I watch those games it's with my friends, who all like teams with winning records. (Colts, Bengals, Chargers) and they keep mocking me about how stupid the Chiefs are for letting him go, and up until about midway through last season I didn't have a legitimate answer.

Until now!

The Jared allen trade was a sucess because, like most of you know, the chiefs drafted Branden alberts, and Jamaal Charles. While many still can debate that Branden is still developing and hasn't lived up to the 1st round status, all must agree that Jamaal has surpassed all expectations.

Not only has Jamaal given me an answer to the all too familiar question, he has given me hope that the chiefs can return to the glory days of high powered offence, and great runnig back play.

I must say i have never been more excited for the Chiefs this year. Great running backs, a better o-line, more speed in the recieving game, incredible DB's (flowers, and Berry), Tamba chasing the QB, and hopefully DJ starting all 16 games.

While many can still debate the Jared Allen trade, I feel its safe to say that the Chiefs drafted a great player with the second pick from Minnesota, and will have a great running back for many more years to come!
