La Canfora, who defended his story to Nick Wright of 610 Sports yesterday, continued to stay firm on his report that Henderson is not coming to Kansas City.
"He is not in KC today, he won't be in KC today and there is no meeting planned with the Chiefs and the Chiefs have no plans to bring him in," he wrote. "That's pretty much all I can tell you. It never was planned."
If you go back and listen to the audio of Henderson on Nick Wright's show, he was asked if he's coming to Kansas City and his response was something like, 'Yeah, I think that's what my agent told me.'
"May have been some mixed signals and that happens all the time in this business," La Canfora wrote. "But John Henderson is not in Chiefs plans. Giants might end up being his best bet."
I would've been interested in Henderson coming to Kansas City but the more I learned about him, the more I realized the marriage didn't make sense.
If Henderson signed, the Chiefs would likely have to move Glenn Dorsey. Are they really going to make such a dramatic shake-up based on the signing of a 31-year old defensive tackle?
