Man Beaten Up At Arrowhead By Raiders Fans Settles Lawsuit With Chiefs
File this one under 'Only The Raiders':
The Kansas City Chiefs club has settled a lawsuit a man filed after Oakland Raiders fans allegedly beat him up while he was tailgating at Arrowhead Stadium.
Alyson E. Raletz of MOLawyersMedia.com reports the man, Terral Cline of Lenexa, KS, originally filed the lawsuit in July of 2009. He racked up $27,000 in medical expenses for the incident, which he blames on the Chiefs.
Cline also claims that this isn't the first time an asssault has taken place at Arrowhead.
Cline alleged three counts of negligence, claiming that the Chiefs knew of various other assaults in its parking lot, yet didn’t provide adequate security.
The Chiefs denied all the allegations, by the way, and claimed the November 6th, 2005 incident was caused by him being drunk. The lawyer for the man confirmed the settlement. The Chiefs didn't comment.
This doesn't sound as bad as the last time we heard about a Raiders fan getting in a fight.

Wait?
So a fan got beaten up by a Raiders’ fan at Arrowhead? So he sues the Kansas City Chiefs? Shouldn’t Al Davis be responsible for this for influencing bad behaviors within Raider Nation. It was not the Chiefs who made Raiders’ fans as insane as they are.

Wonder what new PITA security measure the NFL is going to put in place to save it's ass from this repeating

I'm frustrated.
There sure were a crap load of Raiders fans at the most recent home opener, and they travel in packs like rats with their stupid trashy Halloween costumes. We need to get Arrowhead back to the days when it’s impossible for opposing team fans to even get tickets to our home games. It’s one thing to deal with Red Sox, Twins, Yankees, and whatever the hell other fans at a Royals game on any given night, but Raider and Steelers fans in Arrowhead is simply unacceptable.
I hate all local sports radio personalities... and Jack Harry.

they definitely do travel in packs.
...And as the roar of 80,000 red-clad great plains warriors fills the hallowed halls of Arrowhead, it will strike fear into the hearts of lesser men. For on that field, individual men toil for something greater than individual honors. They toil as brothers-in-arms, as 53 spirits striving towards a single purpose and driven by a single goal: The glory that comes with vanquishing your foes. They will achieve their birthright, they will be champions.
I have some details on the settlement reached:
Scott Pioli called the plaintiff. Pioli did not say anything, not a word, but his number came up on caller ID. After a minute or two, the plaintiff began crying uncontrollably and begging the Don’s forgiveness. He said he will drop his suit immediately.

That was a great game.
Sucks what happened to him but if i remeber that was the game where 2.7 dove in with no time on the clock for the game winning score.
Go be a Seahawks fan we dont care.
I was at this game, and witnessed a seperate fight in the parking lot
We were all in the normal lines to leave the parking lot, and a BMW was in front of me with a guy and his girlfriend / wife. We were sitting in the same spot for about 10 minutes, when this white minivan comes cutting across the parking lot, trying to jump the line. He pulls up perpendicular to the gap between me and the BMW and starts laying on the horn. The BMW driver had no where to go (as I’m sure all of you know who have waited in those lines know). Finally, after about 5 more minutes, the line moved and the BMW was able to pull up. The assholes in the white van proceeded to drive through the gap between me and the BMW and as they did so, threw a full cup of beer into the open sunroof of the BMW.
Needless to say the BMW driver was pissed and jumped out of his car, then 2 guys (one wearing what I thought was a black raiders shirt) get out of the minivan. The BMW driver said something like, “Why the fuck would you do that?! I couldn’t move!” Then The guy in the black shirt punches the BMW driver in the side of the head. I, not wanting this guy to get jumped by 2 dudes, get out of my car, and shove the minivan driver into the hood his car, and yell at a 3rd person who was getting ready to get out of the van to get back in it. The 2nd guy from the minivan didn’t really do anything. The 2 guys then got back into the van and tore off before security showed up, about 10 minutes later. When the driver was getting back in his van I noticed the shirt he was wearing was a black chiefs shirt!
At any rate, the BMW driver’s ear was bleeding, and the Chiefs security didn’t do a damn thing to try and catch the white van. Bunch of pussies starting shit like that and taking cheap shots.

Arrowhead experience
When I was about 14 years old (right before the Peterson era began), my Dad took me to a Chiefs game. We had lower level seats – back row, right next to the concourse area (this was the year before they built the walls between the concourse and seating area). As you can imagine every time something good happened, everyone stood up to get a better view (especially me – I was still a kid).
Anyway, there were three guys standing behind us pounding beers (regrettably, Chiefs fans) that would start to swear and yell for everyone to sit down. They were completely plastered and were getting out of hand when my Dad turned around and told them to knock it off.
Well, the next play, we all stood up and they poured beer all over our seats. My Dad was ready to kill this one guy when security walked up. All they did was move them down a section. We could still hear them yelling at everyone to sit down for the rest of the game. To top it off, they had been putting peanut shells in the back of my Chiefs hoodie the entire time they were there (who does that kind of stuff to a kid?).
My Dad still has not set foot in Arrowhead since that day.
The only satisfaction we got was that the drunks had their company shirts on with the phone number (they weren’t the smartest people in the world) and my Dad called and spoke to their boss the next day….
No shit?
Would of at least grabbed my Super X and sprayed the fools.

That's the real shame, not that there are assholes in the world, its that people let them be assholes
"And the Chiefs line-up in a Wildcat formation with Eric Berry as QB. There's the snap...it's a short pass to Jamal Charles, he's at the 10 the 20 and it looks like he's going to be run out of bounds...LATERAL to Mccluster who is streaking up the field...TOUCHDOWN KAN-SAS-CITY!!!!"
As Edmund Burke said
“the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”
Or you can go with the priest from the Boondock Saints:
“Now, we must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men”
...And as the roar of 80,000 red-clad great plains warriors fills the hallowed halls of Arrowhead, it will strike fear into the hearts of lesser men. They toil as brothers-in-arms, as 53 spirits striving towards a single purpose and driven by a single goal: The glory that comes with vanquishing your foes. No shit.

That was my thoughts
This went down at Arrowhead. How you gonna let a group of Raider fans run roughshod over everybody at our house?
我相信皮欧利, 加油酋长!!!
Raider fans never miss an opportunity to ruin the day
Every year the Raiders play the 49ers in preseaon. The game was in Oakland and my buddy went with his grandma and sister all dressed in 9ers gear. The entire game they had beer spilled/thrown at them, spit on, and swore at (including grandma).
After the game walking through the parking lot people were still yelling things at them. My friend couldn’t take it anymore and started yelling back. Quickly he was rushed by 4 guys, and as he’s getting jumped (in front of his grandma) his sister tried to stop it and someone actually punched her!
I love my Chiefs, but when I used to go see them in Oakland I never wore all my Chiefs gear.
我相信皮欧利, 加油酋长!!!
Sad to say but he is right.
I am not sure about this scenerio but from 1989 to 2000 you never saw this at Arrowhead but after Marty left and the Chiefs became just another 500 team in the NFL, I have witnessed dozen of fights and near fights in the parking lots and have seen many others hat have they have had their cars or tailgating gear vandalized along with glass beer bottles and trash everywhere.
The season ticket or single game ticket holders in KC changed in the early 2000’s. Much like this story—it sad to see.
I love the Chiefs and the NFL but It’s only a game folks.

he has a point..
almost got into it with 2 clowns after a game once, in the parking lot. Would have had to take them both on too, but my wife stepped in and told them to get lost. luckily, they did but it could have gotten ugly. Not enough security in the parking lot….
Just like novocaine. give it time; always works..
The greater the fall, the grander the ascention..
Dear Terral Cline,
Perhaps you should take up weightlifting and martial arts. I go to the Broncos game in Denver every year, eager to beat someone’s ass. And trust me, people from the midwest are tougher than people living fragile California. Grow a pair! In fact, I kicked the shit out of two Raiders fans in Denver who started pushin’ me for wearing a Chiefs jersey. They were like, “What up Holmes?” After it was all said and done, they looked more defeated than JaMarcus Russell…
So if you aren’t going to protect yourself, then atleast get some friends around you who will (even a really hot chick would distract them from violence).
You have nobody to blame but yourself…
