Hey Chiefs Fans
John from BCC here.
It seems many of you are wondering about John Henderson and what he could do for the Chiefs. I figured I could impart some wisdom and let you guys decide if he'll be an asset to KC or not.
1. Henderson is no longer the Pro Bowl monster of years past
Since the Jaguars traded Marcus Stroud to Buffalo in 2007, Henderson has been painfully average. He was outperformed by Terrance Knighton in practically ever phase when the Jaguars were playing a 4-3 last year. If the Chiefs are in desperate need of defensive line help, he could make an impact. Just don't expect the player that was part of Jacksonville's feared defensive interior.
2. Henderson isn't a 3-4 nose, but could do well as a 3-4 end
When the Jaguars were using a 3-4, Knighton was the NT, while Henderson lined up as the end. He actually played really well there, probably better than how he played as a 4-3 DT later in the year. I know you guys drafted Tyson Jackson last year, so I guess Henderson would line
Henderson simply doesn't fit the mold of a 3-4 nose, he's simply too tall and probably won't eat up the blockers that a 3-4 NT is designed to do.
