Based on interest from 18 NFL teams and how he stacked up against the other prospects, Garrett Brown figured he had a shot at being drafted anywhere after the third round. Once he went undrafted, Brown and his agent ran through a list of the NFL teams that best suited his services. The Chiefs were the first team to call. It was a done deal. Brown said he signed at approximately 7 p.m. on Saturday.
"They didn't draft any defensive tackles and they only have three on the team right now," Brown said. "That gives me a good chance. Hopefully, I can make the two-deep and the 53-man roster by the end of August."
