Dorsey = NT?

With the news the chiefs didn't select a NT in the draft. I  have to start wondering if their is something to what Scott Pioli said about Glenn Dorsey playing NT. Dorsey would be the NT, Tyson Jackson at one DE, then a combination of Alex Magee and Wallace Gilberry at the other DE. Magee and Gilberry both proved they could get to the QB, combining for 6.5 sacks last season.

While I know this thought is not liked by many, including myself, one has to agree that this might be what Pioli is thinking. Overall I am dissapointed that the chiefs didn't take a NT when they could have chosen any of them without reaching. This leads me to believe that the chiefs feel their answer to NT is already on the roster, or don't feel we even have a problem. I know the chiefs signed Shaun Smith. He is good at NT but I don't think Scott Pioli wants a good NT, he wants a great NT. Dorsey has a heck of a lot more promise than Smith as a defensive lineman. Many people here considered drafting Ndamukong Suh, a 4-3 DT and have him play as NT. Glenn Dorsey's natural position is a 4-3 DT. If Suh can play NT then surely Dorsey can. What are your thoughts about all this AP.

On a side note, My thoughts on the draft:

Eric Berry: At the end of the day it had to be him

Dexter McCluster: Questionable, but still is a dynamic jack-of-all-trades player that will be very usefull on offence

Javier Arenas: I don't like this at all. Terrence Cody should of been the pick here. NT was a much greater need than CB and we have a return man in McCluster

Jon Asamoah: Great pick. this was the OL pick the chiefs needed, a future replacement for Brian Waters

Tony Moeaki: Good pick. A blocking TE will be useful. our TE's gave up a lot of sacks last year

Kendrick Lewis: Good I guess. Leads me to think that they plan on trading or cutting Page or Morgan

Cameron Sheffield: They adress the pass rush here. Good Choice
