2a and 2b

Wow, what a crazy first round. Eric Berry is a Chief. We can all breathe now. All the anticipation and suspense is now subsided, but there's still that little spark of excitement in every Chief fan's body due to the meat of the draft being eaten tonight between rounds two and three. Scott Pioli has showed us all that he's not messing around and is trying to make this team better. Although you all know I was one of the biggest supporters of the Eric Berry pick and yest I am ecstatic about him being a Chief, but one man doesn't cut it for this team. Tonight is the night that puts this team from bad to good. Who will we take? We many options. I'll tell you one wont be Sergio Kindle.

Adam Schefter on ESPN 101, St. Louis this morning talked a little Sergio Kindle in hopes to notify Rams fans they won't be drafting him:

"Definite medical issues," Schefter reported. "I've spoken to some teams that have him off their board."

Rotoworld even put there 2 cents in on this....

The latest rumors have Kindle possibly needing microfracture knee surgery, which would knock him out for his entire rookie year. At this point, we'd be surprised if he's drafted in round two.

This isn't good news for Kindle who is said to have some medical concerns that might need micro-fracture surgery which would put him on IR for his whole rookie year. If these reports are valid (it's Schefter, you know they are) do you still want Sergio Kindle on this team? I'm not so sure I do anymore.

Which is why with 2a, I feel like Charlie Weis is going to do his best to get Golden Tate on this team. We need someone like this to spark this offense and who better for Charlie Weis than Tate? I don't know what it is with me, but the fact Golden Tate's run after the catch ability is so dangerous I really view him as a better NFL WR than every WR in this draft with the acception of Dez Bryant. Sure, we could draft Rodger Saffolds here, maybe even Charles Brown, or Terrency Cody to fill a thirsty need at NT...but I think with the two picks in this round that gives us a lot of ammo to make trades and move wherever we want.

Like trentchiefsfan said, the Dolphins pick at #40, and Parcells and Pioli can work some magic there so the son-in-law can move right up and take Cody but then Terrell Troupe will be there in third round and A LOT of us are smitten with him as well. Maybe that 2b pick is LB like Brandon Spikes or Sean Lee? I think within the first 10 picks of the 2nd round some of the 1st round graded tackles will be off the board, but who knows...only Pioli does...oh Lombardi apparently does too...

NFL Network's Mike Lombardi expects the Chiefs to draft Notre Dame QB Golden Tate if he's available at No. 36.

Gotta love Lombardi and that hair piece.

All I'm saying is, be ready for Golden Tate's name to be announced for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2nd round at some point. He will be a great player for us due to his consistent hands and uncanny ability to gain yards after the catch.
