Take 1 of these 4 in our 1st pick Round 2

I would take one of these four players, barring a trade as 2a.

1. Sergio Kindle- Pro: Orakpo worked and he could be weak side starting linebacker after or along with Vrabel. He would help us immediately. Probably the most talented athlete available. At 6-4 and 238 should hold his weak side slot. Con: Is Texas like LSU? The players are soft? I believe that the brain trust likes a larger player like the Colts draftee Jerry Hughes in this position. Could we wait and get Kua Misi at 6-2, 262 in the third. Misi could also play inside.

2. Jimmy Clausen. 6-3, 208 Notre Dame. Con: I know...why do we need a QB and he is arrogant. He is only rated early because it is a weak QB class. He is arrogant and will misuse his realtionship with Charlie Weis to gain power. My gosh, how could we take him over Terrence Cody, Sergio Kindle or Travis Mays? It puts unnecessary pressure on Cassell and we lose a great immediate contributor for Jimmy **^@@#*'n Clausen Pro: By far best value in draft per pre draft expert mocks. Charlie Weis coached him. All good teams have a good to great QB- look at the last 14 teams in the !st Round. We cant be sure about Cassel and we can be sure that Brody will get hurt. Charlie Weis is as good as it gets in developing NFL quarterbacks. He is the best Off Coordinator to deevlop Clausen. Every player will be better in the 2nd or 3rd year in the Pioli?:Haley/Weis?Crennel system. Lets make sure we have a good QB.

3. Travis Mays- 6-4, 230, USC. Con: We just drafted Eric Berry. Is it fun to be crazy? Lacks true football instict- the most important contribution from a true safety. Pro: He is a better player than Terrence Cody. His combo of size and speed is unparralled. He has even said he would shift to linebacker, which he could only do in a 4-3. His desire, speed and SS ability makes him the perfect counterpart ot Berry. Both have speed and strength and good heads. It would make everyone better. Take Spikes or Ricky Sapp in 2b. and you have an incredible defense as compared to last year. A great force multiplier.

$. Terrence Cody- 6-5-354, Alabama. Pro: Obvious need. Massive DT to anchor Jackson and Dorsey. 2 downs a series of making life hell for OC's and OG's. The Clog of the pile that opens up opportunities for our D. Con: Massive man who will wear out . Wont handle Haley coaching. Not a fit for our staff. Better Players available.

At the end of the day, I would be very happy with Travis Mays. He and Berry together would be an incredible force multiplying combination.
