Tebow... Really? - Two years away and a team cancer

I was so impressed in the Broncos trading down. Dont worry Chiefs fans, we could have never traded down like that absent a Mark Sanchez QB as noone would pick up the salary of Berry or Okung at #5. As a Chiefs fan, I dislike and always have disliked the Broncos so good for them in screwing up the catbirds seat (After pick #13) in the draft. I would have been worried if they took Dez Bryant and Dan Williams. Thomas from Georgia Tech- okay, whatever- he is a #1 pick..

I believe that Tebow will be an underperforming cancer for the Broncos. First, he should not play for two years. He and Brady Quinn can battle egos but it does not matter to us Chiefs fans. Second, all of the media and their fanbase is going to be calling for Tebow to play before he is ready. His notriety way overwhelms his current or even two year talent in the NFL. They must be committed to McDaniels or Denver will be known as the most arrogant and ignorant team in the NFL. Tebow's celebrity way exceeds his ability to contribute.

Third, Tebow is called a leader and I am sure he is; however, how does a rookie celebrity "lead" in the NFL? Fourth, while I am also a Christian, Tebow's born again version stands a good chance of alienating and/or dividing his NFL team. How does he "lead" and "preach" as a rookie who by all accounts should not start until 2012?

I believe that they chose a problem. This is an Al Davis type pick if only Tebow drank and cursed like a sailor. The result will be the same. Benefit to KC. We get to see the experiment for the next 5-10 years. He will be serviceable, even very good three seasons from now, if and only if, Denver creates a great team around him. Point of story; Tebow was a poor choice. San Diego made a poor trade today but they are still the team for us to worry about in the next two years. Chiefs fans should applaud the Denver Tebow selection.
