NEW YORK - APRIL 22: Eric Berry (R) from the Tennessee Volunteers poses with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell as they hold a Kansas City Chiefs jersey after Chiefs selected Berry #5 overall in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall on April 22, 2010 in New York City. With the fifth pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs have selected Tennessee S Eric Berry.

Berry fulfills a big need for the Chiefs, with their safety play dropping after dramatically last season. Eric "The 5th Dimension" Berry is an immediate starter for KC, likely alongside current S Jarrad Page.

Wow. I'm surprised Scott Pioli took a safety this high. I'm even more surprised he wasn't able to deal out the pick, unless he truly did want Berry at the five spot.

The Chiefs next pick at #36. We'll update this thread as we go.
